Calm Down, the "Hulk" is Still Green
Recently Avi Arad mentioned the phrase "different color" while discussing the "Hulk" sequel, but now he says "D'oh. I was just kidding."
Mr. Arad knows full well how seriously the fans take these characters, so the news that Marvel might be monkeying with the big guy's color for "The Incredible Hulk", well, it caused a small amount of buzz. But now the producer says he was just jokin' around -- although, technically, the character will be a different shade of green.

Somethin' wrong with the color of my skin??
Other tidbits include the fact that Edward Norton was originally offered the role in the first "Hulk," but turned it down AND the promise of some big casting news some time soon. (It involves a girl!) We'll let you know when that news hits the wire.

Defmonkey writes: on Apr 24 2007 06:28 AM He's gotta learn to watch out what he says when fanboys read it. Because I bet alot of people thought this. "fanboy reads article about New Hulk Movie, and reads the line 'new color'." Fanboy: WTF!! What are they gonna do??!! Turn him Purple!! Because I immediately thought of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, where you can pick the Hulk and he's purple. And nothing more manly then a purple Hulk! (Reply to this) |

blank blank writes: on Apr 24 2007 07:39 AM why does ed norton "need a big hit?" he's never been a big box office guy to begin with, and hulk is easily the "biggest" movie he's ever done... plus the illusionist was a surprise hit...there is no pressure on norton anyways, if this hulk movie flops, well its not his fault because the first one flopped as well, if its a big hit, then he gets all the credit because he came in and saved the franchise. its win win for norton. Vitamin M writes: on Apr 24 2007 08:40 AM In reply to this comment (#862580) The first Hulk was not a flop. I didn't perform as well as expected but it made a profit world wide. So it was more of a problem of high expectations. But you're right about Norton, the guy can just keep on doing whatever he wants and no one big budget flop is going to take him down. jeanpaul writes: on Apr 25 2007 04:04 AM GOOD. Yeah, this is good news. Cause, it'd be nice if they'd show a GREY Hulk for a phase/portion in the movie--- like maybe in a FLASHBACK scene--- but for the rest of the movie--- the Hulk needs to remain his ICONIC and famous green. Experiment, but DON'T mess it up, is what I'm saying about Hulk color. (Reply to this) |
