by Fred Topel | April 24, 2007
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Summary

Wes Craven may be on a roll producing remakes of "The Hills Have Eyes," "Last House on the Left," and even "The People Under the Stairs," but he doesn’t have the final say in all of his films. Back to Article

Its easy with Friday and Halloween to be remade. They are just brainless monsters with masks on! Totally different with Nightmare. Its a comedic monster with funny facial expressions.

just say no Craven!

Not only is Englund the definitive Krueger, the first movie is a horror masterpiece. You'd have to take a very different approach if you attempted to remake these movies, but I agree that it shouldn't even be attempted, at least not yet.

They'll remake it, I mean isn't the remake-recipe already in place: a deep character study of the killer and a look into his abusive-family past, in an attempt to understand why he enjoys terrorizing the kids on Elm Street. It's that easy!

I hope he remakes Music of the Heart.

For crying out loud, just make another sequel already.

I wasn't a big fan of Craven remaking his own movies, but I thought "Eh, maybe he'll remake Nightmare on Elm Street. It would probably suck, but at least Freddy would be in another movie." I hate this news.
