Amy Winehouse Stars in...Another Bond Girl Rumor
by Scott Weinberg | May 09, 2007
Discuss Article
A few of my friends assure me that songstress Amy Winehouse is quite talented, which is cool. But recent 007 gossip indicates that she might show up in "Bond 22."

Wouldn't be the first time a singer made a goofy cameo in a James Bond movie. (Yes, I'm looking at you, Madonna.) Buzz from the UK says "Producer Barbara Broccoli has offered Winehouse a part in the CASINO ROYALE sequel after falling in love with the Rehab star's hit album." Which makes about as much sense as offering an acting role to a world-class chef who just made you an awesome dinner.

More likely they'd be talking to Ms. Winehouse about maybe doing the into song for the movie, but hey, maybe she'll actually get a speaking part, too. Expect about 438 more Bond Girl Rumors over the next 12 to 18 months.

I remember hearing that the producers had asked her to sing the song. . .

That would be cool since I think she has a good voice for a Bond tune, but judging from what I've seen of her at awards shows and interviews here in the UK, she's not classy enough to play a Bond-girl. She comes off to me like a mix between Anastacia(voice) and Courtney Love (appearance and general attitude)

Her video for I'm No good is hot. I know she is love or hate though. Many people don't care for her unfiltered mouth. I love her she's like the british version of P!NK.

Except Amy Winehouse is much more talented than Pink.

Bond girl, I don't see it. But I'll bet she could sing a 007 song that would blow them all out of the water.

Winehouse doing the theme song would be awesome! Winehouse as a Bond Girl would just be a little weird. She is kinda hot though.

Umm.. No offense to Amy (I love her singing) but I really think she'd better off in an El Vira film than a Bond film.
