"Bat" Bits: Teaser in December and ... Anthony Michael Hall?
That freaky "Dark Knight" website that we've been talking about ... has been changed. Plus, Anthony Michael Hall joins the cast, but won't say who he's playing!
The "Dead Zone" star recently flew over to London to start production on the "Batman Begins" sequel, but his "busy time" on the project won't be shot until August. According to Mr. Hall, who signed a confidentiality agreement and is apparently pretty serious about honoring it, he has some scenes with Morgan Freeman and appears "throughout the whole movie," but that's all the scoop he'd spill ... so far.

In other Bat-news, that creepy promotional website we talked about yesterday has undergone a few changes. Click through it to find out a hidden message, but the bottom line is this statement: "See You in December" The logical assumption is that December is when we'll get some kind of teaser trailer. Cool.

on May 21 2007 11:46 PM if you highlight the whole thing, it says HAHA in different sized text but I didn't see the "See You in December" (Reply to this) |
|
on May 22 2007 12:07 AM no it is really there -- just copy and paste the "hahaha" text into Word or something like that, then just use "find and replace" to get rid of all the "ha"s. All you'll be left with is "See you in December" (Reply to this) |
|
on May 22 2007 02:50 AM Wow. That's really cool. When I suddenly noticed all the "Ha's" I actually thought that was pretty creepy. I hope the rest of the movie's going to be like that -- creepy, cryptic and entertaining. December's an awfully long time for a teaser to come out, isn't it? (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 05:42 AM It wont be the teaser. A full trailer in December. A teaser this summer, and Joker's not in it. And AMH is playing a villain. (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 05:55 AM the word is that the teaser is supposed to come out with the new harry potter. at least that's what i've heard so far. Everything about this movie is amazing so far. The cast they have is friggin brilliant! (Reply to this) |
|
on May 22 2007 08:10 AM hall isn't necessarily a villian, all thats been said is he plays a batman "wannabe" which means he could be a nerd(wow, thats a shocker) who in attempt for people to like him...dresses like batman and tries to get the public to think he's the real deal. (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 09:22 AM "s e e Y O u I n D E C e M b E R ha ha ha ha ha" That was fun. wow, pretty creepy. (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 10:04 AM what happened to the teaser before harry potter? (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 10:07 AM I think he's going to play the riddler. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 22 2007 12:11 PM In reply to this comment (#866355) It would be pretty neat if Hall was going to be the Riddler, and they kept him hanging about the background for a while. Of course, they couldn't give out his name in the movie, or everyone would instantly know. He'd have to be like "mr. lab assistant" until they were ready to give it away. (Reply to this) |
|
on May 22 2007 01:00 PM He is going to play a nerd who will be fascinated with Bruce Wayne & Batman, and will become the riddler with 2 Face in the third movie!!! (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 01:03 PM Now thats how you do viral marketing. (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 01:07 PM In reply to this comment (#866350) Yeah, the teaser will be more of an announcement or something, as in no footage, just text, but we'll finally see the good stuff in December. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 22 2007 02:11 PM In reply to this comment (#866357) I hope not. Too many Forever parallels there. (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 02:27 PM I probably missed the article on this, but was there a hidden message on the Dark Knight web page where it shows Harvey Dent on the promotional poster? (Reply to this) |
|
on May 22 2007 03:17 PM I can see the parallels to the Burton/Stupidmacher Batman movies, I think Nolan doesn't care because he can reuse Joker, Riddler, Two-Face but make them badass!!! AMH could be a completely different villian too, and I think he can pull off a villian. Just as long as Batman doesn't defeat him by putting him under a glass coffee table!!! LOL (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 04:15 PM I thought I saw some letter weird letters. I noticed a e, b and i think a r and I wondered if it spelled something but didnt bother. December huh, cool. Awfully long for a trailer... (Reply to this) |

on May 22 2007 04:18 PM In reply to this comment (#866355) Oh please, the Riddler?? that's the last villain they should use fo this movie. So far we have the Joker, possibly Scarecrow again(fingers crossed) but if they add the riddler, well I can't imagine Hall possibly overtopping Jim Carreys version, although Batman Forever was bad and too comical whereas this is dark and serious, but they might pull it off, I least expected Ledger to be the Joker but so far he' lookin great in character. on May 22 2007 04:52 PM Knightfall This could be a stab in the dark, but do you think that this story is leading up to the story in the graphic novel knightfall? AMH could be Azrael, scarecrow, joker, harvey dent (two face) may all stay alive, get released from arkham asylum by Bane in batman 3 or 4, and batman screws himself catching them, then an exhausted batman has the absolute crap beaten out of him by bane, prompting azrael to take his place etc. Only problem with this is that robin is in this story, and robin sucks giant cock. (Reply to this) |
![]() on May 22 2007 05:03 PM In reply to this comment (#866365) Looks more like they're leading up to The Long Halloween, since there's no sign of Bane. (Reply to this) |
