Ladies and gentlemen, do we have a new "Terminator"?

One source indicates that Dutch/Swedish actor-model Marcus Schenkenberg could very well be the title character in "Terminator 4," if and when the project ever gets off the ground. The guy's only been in a few movies and TV shows, but apparently he's really hot and buff and all that stuff.

The same source also offers this: Ahnold is scheduled to make a brief cameo in the third "Terminator" sequel.

Take it all with a grain of salt, of course. But stranger things have happened.

Do all T-800 models have Ahnold's mug? Didn't Reese have a flashback (or flash forward, depending how you view it) in the first movie, when his underground shelter was infiltrated by two big Terminator dudes, and his picture of Sarah burned up? Weren't those two big dudes not Ahnold?

I doubt all the T-800's had Schwarzenegger's face... it would kind of defeat the purpose of an undercover assassin type T-800 if you knew what they looked like. The T-800 were the standard infantry that skynet used and they just applied skin to the ones that were trying to be stealthy.

I would really hope for just a cameo for him.

He basically ruined the 3rd movie (IMO), because he was an older model vsing a newer stronger machine (more tough than the T-1000) and he wasn't even a match.

A T-800 model doesn't necessarily have Arnold's look. That is just the endoskeleton model number. The model for Arnold's body is 101. It's explained briefly in the 2nd movie. Also, in the first, it's ONE T-800 that infiltrates Reese's camp. It was a friend of Arnold's and I guess that guy was a fellow bodybuilder. He was a T-800 but the model number was different.

As for this new guy....really?

Of all the guys out there that could be a terminator, they want to pick this.... flamer? What about THE ROCK? What about someone like Vin Diesel or something? I really would like to see The ROCK be a terminator. Not that underwear model.

Plenty of arnie types out there that couldve proved themselves as a good terminator. This guy aint one of em tho.

Anyone remember that big guy from Gladiator, the muscly one with the firm chin that did a duel with russel crow with wooden sword, then became his ally in the arena. I reckon he wouldve been perfect. And he had an accent.

Lets just hope that this time they keep it in the future this time. I was gutted when T3 ended where it did, because what ever T4 is going to be shouldve been what T3 wasnt.

Bring on the hunter killers i say! And i hope Arnie at least comes back for one scene, the end. So they can show him being captured/reprogrammed and sent back through time! Twice!

Marcus seems all wrong for the part. Too much of a pretty boy. Since they're obviously not concerned about any real star power, why hire a pretty boy unfit for the role? They should hire Roland Kickinger. I question that this guy is a terminator, to me he looks more like a grown up Conner. Just add some scruff and a scar or two and he'd look the part. I wouldn't be surprised that there's a bad assumption going on here with saying that he might be the next terminator.

The end lesson from the 2nd movie was that you CAN change fate. They were successful in destroying the terminator parts left behind and saved humanity. Nice. Then, terminator 3 came out and said "Just forget everything that we told you before about the 'No Fate' thing cause we we just to stupid to figure out a way to continue the series without completley rendering the last film pointless (in terms of story line). I really loved the first two movies and they were an integral part in my childhood development. Just leave it be guys.

No way, keep the storyline going. The story needs to be resolved in the future, not the past. Arnold needs a cameo in the next sequel. Get another bodybuilder type to play a Terminator (weren't there supposed to be Terminators with fake looking skin, that were the first major terminators - I would try and use some of them in the next film).

And T3 was a fitting resolution to that first storyline, they just postponed the future but didn't stop it (mankind's ignorance and power hunger leads to its undoing).

I also surprisingly enjoyed T3. Obviously in T2 they were expecting to change the future. It's not like the future where the Terminators comes from just ceases to exist, it's just no longer the current timeline's future. It's a hard thing to argue about because of the changing timelines philosophy issues. The future that the terminators are coming from could still exist and still send terminators back in time, but it does seems strange that they could send them to a time past the point where the future was changed in T2, which points to the ending of T2 failing to change the future or T3 also implies that the terminator in that movie was sent to make sure that judgement day still happens and could even have been sent at the same time as the first two terminators (I don't think that it's explained when the T3 terminator was sent). There's nothing wrong with the storyline really.

I'm looking forward to seeing the post-judgement day storyline. This was originally what I was hoping for with T3. I do also wish that Cameron was doing the movie, but I'll give it a chance.
