I too hope this is as awsome as the first 3. I do hope there is more of the Ark film style than the Crusade film. I loved last crusade, but thought the knight in the room let the ending go a bit silly. I want to see more stuff like traps, and rolling ball type areas, stick to that and they cant go wrong.

However, Biggest grossing movie of next year?

Could be, but it will be a Stand-off with The Dark Knight.

Indy v Batman, place youre bets !!!!!

As much as I love Indy, I'm looking forward to Batman more. But what a year for movies 2008 should be!

I think if both Indy and Batman are both good movies which I fully expect them to be Indy will make more money simply because it appeals to a wider demographic. That said I think Dark Knight will make alot more money than Begins did simply because Begins was so awesome and has killer word of mouth going for it and won back a ton of fans lost after the Shumockery era.

Ahhhh the Shumockery era, ....... sad times indeed. I'm looking forward to the next Jones movie, but I'm affraid that they may try to phase out Harrison during the movie to try to pass the movie's focus to Shia LaBeouf, in which case it will lose major points in my book.

The new Batman movie will make more money. Indy will have a harder time winning over the fans and critics, being much harder type of movie to pull off well. Even if it's only above average, the critics will tear it apart due to it being such a large target, and the fans are going to have very high (probably too high) expectations.

Snipes .

This is high hopes but I would love for Indy 4 to knock Titanic out of the #1 of all-time. All I know is I'll be seeing this film at least 3 times so I'll do my part to help it get there.

I'm still very skeptical but what the hell, at least Karen Allen's probably in it.

Is George or Steven directing this?

Steven is directing.

And Elixer, there's no way in hell that they'll "pass the movie's focus to Shia LeBouf". Why on Earth would they do that? It's Indiana Jones for Christ's Sake!

May 30 - 07:59 PM

Mr. Kong

Sam jacobs

Agreed. This movie is supposed to be Indy's comeback, not Shia's introduction.

? ?

After all the delays this film has undergone it still seems unreal that they're finally going through with it. Hopefully those delays were worth it for quality's sake.

Bring on the fan boys!!! I am pretty sure this movie is going to carry on where Indy 3 left off and be a stinker...

Lets just compare to previous George Lucas Trilogy..

Star Wars - Brilliant / Raiders - Brilliant
Empire - Excellent / Temple - Good
Jedi - Mediocre / Cruisade - Silly and boring.

My guess is George Lucas's creative juices (and sanity!) started running out some time after making The Empire Strikes Back. Just look at the horrible mess the hack jobs on the original trilogy and the prequels have been.

Releasing a new Indy film is just deperation now. After he destroyes the Indy legacy I think George Lucas should go back to doing what he does best.. Collecting the cheques for ILM.....

Hey, I hope you guys are right. Hopefully they realize that this is the last Indy movie and don't indtend on trying to pass the torch or create room for some sort of spin offs (TV show or Movies).
