Freestyle Picks Up 3 Uwe Boll Movies
I bet tons of you just can't wait to get your eyeballs on the next Uwe Boll movies. And now it looks like he's finally snagged a U.S. distributor for three of his new flicks.
Nope, sorry. "BloodRayne 2" isn't one of 'em, but Boll fans should be very happy to learn that "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale," "Postal," and "Seed" will (eventually) be hitting some theaters (kinda) near you sometime (relatively) soon.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Postal" is set for a 250 theater release on September 28th, with "Dungeon Siege" hitting 2,500 theaters on January 18th of next year. "Seed" will also hit some time early next year.
Can't wait!

on Jun 07 2007 04:52 AM In reply to this comment (#868233) More to the point what's Ray Liotta doing in one of his movies? Was Goodfella's that long ago? Damn I know every movie you're in can't be directed by Martin Scorcese, but Damn!!! (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2007 05:48 AM Yes, why aren't actors running away from this director. Don't sign on to make a movie until you know who's directing, so you can walk off if you get stuck with Uwe Boll. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Jun 07 2007 05:51 AM I didn't realize there WERE any Uwe Boll fans. I suppose it's possible, but for the sake of all mankind we should all quit going to his movies. I know I'm done with them. (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2007 06:48 AM I love Ewe Boll. He points out everything thats wrong with Hollywood, and no matter how hard we try we can't stop him. I'll take another Ewe Boll mess over another "Pirates" mess any day. He's like the Ed Wood of his day but worse, and based on video games that where where only vaguely popular to begin with. ...none of this means I'm actually going to see any of these movies, I just take great amusement in their existance... kind of like Snakes on A Plane. on Jun 07 2007 07:08 AM Bloodrayne was ridiculous. I can honestly say I feel like I could make a better movie. I know people say that alot, but mostly for effect. I mean it. (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2007 07:27 AM In reply to this comment (#868242) A drunken monkey could have made a better movie than "Bloodrayne." Hell, my grandmother could make a better movie and she's been dead for twenty years! Uwe Boll is the worst thing to happen to movies since fake butter on popcorn. (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2007 08:53 AM any film student or commercial director or kid with a camera could make a better movie the difference is that Mr Toilet seems to be great at gaining financing and getting actors invovled in his projects. I'm betting it has to be some sort of deal he made with the devil or he is an alien. either way I do like to get a case of beer and watch a bol film from time to time, they're funnier then most studio commedies. on Jun 07 2007 09:00 AM Who cares? Like anyone's gonna see his movies anyway. This guy's a total moron (he challenged everyone who hated his movies to a boxing match, and his interviews make Corky from "Life Goes On" sound like Einstein). And, believe it or not, this guy has some fans out there who rag on us because we "don't have taste" or "haven't seen his movies." Hey, after watching "House of the Dead" and "Alone in the Dark", I ain't giving this fuckhead a shot in hell and watch his shitfests. Thank God they didn't let him direct "Metal Gear Solid" or "Halo". Could you imagine? (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2007 10:28 AM I too am confused why someone keeps giving him money, even if it is just investors who don't care about money and only profits based on losses in Germany. The Postal extended preview is impressive in its ability to repel. I noticed on IMDB that Dave Foley was in it, which is a step down from Ray Liotta, but nonetheless a funny guy hell bent on career suicide. (Reply to this) |

on Jun 07 2007 10:48 AM I find Uwe Boll very entertaining. He makes very crappy movies and still thinks he's a good director. Some of his films go into the "it's so bad, it's good" category and most just go into the "it's so bad, God help us..." one. Can't say I'm a fan, but I love coming home after school to see a new article on RT talking about how Uwe's going to get into a cage match with a critic because he didn't like House of the Dead or any of the other "movies" he's made. It's very entertaining. (Reply to this) |
