New "Indy 4" Cast Member: Jim Broadbent
You might not remember the name, but you'll definitely know the face.
Jim Broadbent is a very fine British actor who'll you'd probably remember from "Gangs of New York," "Moulin Rouge," or "Bridget Jones' Diary" -- in addition to about a hundred other flicks. The actor will be joining the "Indiana Jones 4" cast and crew in New Haven. It's there he'll get to play a helpful college professor.
When asked if this character could be the "new" Marcus Brody (the amusing sidekick previously played by the late Denholm Elliott), Broadbent "that would do for me" before offering up a friendly chuckle.
Other Brits in the cast include John Hurt, Ray Winstone, and Simon Pegg.
(Just kidding about the last one; wanted to see if you were paying attention.)

on Jun 21 2007 11:08 AM Thanks for that. I really was excited about Simon Pegg joining the cast. I don't even know why I believed it in the first place. (Reply to this) |

on Jun 21 2007 11:45 AM Yeah you got me Scott, I don't think that he would be a good fit for this movie though, so I'm happy that was just a joke. (Reply to this) |
