Bloody Mathias writes: on Jun 23 2007 03:16 AM Hey, Bourne Supremacy was PG-13 and that movie knocked me on my ass. I certainly hope DH4 is like that and not Underworld-type PG-13. Oh and PG-13 films are allowed one F-Bomb. 10 bucks says he says "Yippie-ki-yay, Motherfucker!" to Olyphant as he kills him in the last 5 minutes of the film. (Reply to this) |
|
Bloody Mathias writes: on Jun 23 2007 03:32 AM Wait a minute...DH4 is 100% CGI free? That shot in the trailer where Willis and Justin Long nearly get squished by that flying car is real??? Really??? (Reply to this) |

Reeven writes: on Jun 23 2007 07:48 AM In reply to this comment (#870848) That's what I was thinking. He's probably exaggerating, oh, I don't know, A LOT. This also made me laugh: "And the sequel business is a much different thing now, sequels are treated with a lot more care and a lot more respect these days than they were in the early years of sequels being made." Right. (Reply to this) |

bamb0o-stick writes: on Jun 23 2007 08:11 AM In reply to this comment (#870848) The footage where the cars fall on each other is real. The actors were probably edited in later. But Willis did say he had to jump out of a car for real, how many middle-aged actors you know do that? Some stunts especially in terms of destruction can be tough to spot. If you saw The Matrix Reloaded scene where the agent jumps on top of one car, crushes it, and then jumps on top of another on a running freeway -- those were actual cars getting crushed and flipped over (agent added later, obviously). I actually thought that scene was CGI'd at first. Sometimes it pays to look at special features on a DVD to see how stunts were pulled off. (Reply to this) |

Devoted95 writes: on Jun 23 2007 09:06 AM In reply to this comment (#870848) Liar Liar, Panties are on fire!!! He's lying man. Yeah they did lot of so called "Real" stunts but that scene that you just mentioned about the flying car coming over Justin and him, I think thats CGI right there. And by the way, why is he saying that CGI looks crappy and that his daughter told him that there was no imminent danger in that particular scene she saw. Well hello, we are in the 21st century, Year 2007 where CGI has advanced to a level where you cannot, I emphasise, easily tell which is the real thing. He said that because Marketing is in everything, he's gonna promote his film and will say anything to attract the audience. He thinks we will like the film more if it was'nt more CGI. That depends on the accuracy and credibility of the CGI. No offense to Bruce or this film (I'm gonna watch it and will love it anyhow) but Ironically, I think Transformers will have a bigger box-office. (Reply to this) |

Devoted95 writes: on Jun 23 2007 09:17 AM The Micheal Bay thing??? Hey guys can someone please tell me in short, what the issue was with Bay??. I must've missed that... (Reply to this) |

Ashron writes: on Jun 23 2007 01:56 PM In reply to this comment (#870847) I'm confused. Both Underworld movies were rated R. (Reply to this) |

Cicatriz writes: on Jun 23 2007 03:04 PM In reply to this comment (#870852) he called Bay a hack over on the AICN boards (Reply to this) |

Devoted95 writes: on Jun 23 2007 08:00 PM Oh I see......... He called him a hack??..hmmm do you know why he said that??..Perhaps his style of directing..anyway thankss man (Reply to this) |

wolverine31 writes: on Jun 23 2007 10:51 PM Micheal Bay I , beleive that Micheal Bay is an asshole on set many actors that have worked with him say that he's extremely bossy , but when you are in charge of a movie the cost hundreds of millions to make i wouldn't blame him.As far as Die Hard 4 goes i think it will definately be the best sequal but better then the first Die Hard i think not remember Die hsrd is on many list for the best action movie of all time including AFI but this one will no doubt be good. (Reply to this) |

High School With Money writes: on Jun 23 2007 11:50 PM JUST LIKE IWO JIMA! What if the bad guy is really called Mr. Falcon? A reference like that would be up there with "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!". (Reply to this) |
|
Silverevilchao writes: on Jun 24 2007 12:24 AM Oh, no. Will they PLEASE quit making sequels to old franchises?! A fourth Die Hard was good in my book because the third one sucked, but a FIFTH? They're definitely milking the franchise now. (Reply to this) |
|
Callpacas writes: on Jun 24 2007 01:49 AM so what if the flipping car is real? its so blurred it looks like CGI. Make half the scene a one shot, and we'll be gullible enough to believe everything you say on the sequence. Hope the movie is better as a whole than its parts combined. (Reply to this) |
|
gratefuldawg writes: on Jun 24 2007 10:48 AM The fact that Willis is out whoring himself for publicity and skirting the issue of a PG-13 rating really doesnt speak well for the film. To me the forth DIEHARD film was 16 BLOCKS, and posssibly the last great Willis film. (Reply to this) |

tikkaboti writes: on Jun 24 2007 03:57 PM Oh ya! Die Hard 1 was a fantastic film. The tongue-in-cheek humor, the sheer tenacity of John, the excellent action sequences. You could feel John's pain, Bruce played him beautifully. I think Die Hard is Bruce's best film yet. That said, I am extremely enthusiastic about Die Hard 4.0. Bruce hasn't had too many huge hits lately. I think Armageddon was his last big bloackbuster. But he's one fantastic actor, truly one of the best action heroes (he sucks at comedy though, damn I hated him in Ocean's twelve). I mean you can tell that Sylvester or Arnold look like stoic, military guys. Bruce's smart, intense, and more natural, more free-flow. This guy deserves a hit this time around. Remember how you felt after watching Rocky Balboa all you Rocky fans out there. Similarly, I'm sure all the Die Hard fans will get a big kick out of this one. Sure, Transformers will be HUGE when it comes out, but i think Die Hard 4.0 will make a respectable dent in the box office - if 300 could be the surprise hit of spring, truly Die Hard 4.0 can garner enough applause for it to be if not the best, the second-best Die Hard film. frogleg writes: on Jun 25 2007 05:47 AM BTW He didn't say 100% of the stunts were real. He said 90% of the stunts were real. He also didn't say the whole shot with the car hitting the other cars was real. He said there was a real car flipped down a tunnel. He also said the car & helicopter shot was real. I don't see that he's lying in the interview about that stuff at all... (Reply to this) |

frogleg writes: on Jun 25 2007 05:49 AM In reply to this comment (#870863) 16 Blocks was also PG 13. (Reply to this) |

Merlin235 writes: on Jun 25 2007 06:50 AM I'm kind of tired with people complaining about the rating. It's such a ridiculous and superficial thing to be complaining about. There are plenty of movies that are good with a PG-13 rating, and plenty of movies that are rated R that are complete and utter crap. I would hate for them to ruin the movie by putting in some random nudity or more F-bombs, just to satisfy some juvenile's need to see boobies and get goosbumps by hearing naughty words their parents won't let them say. (Reply to this) |
|
southwick writes: on Jun 25 2007 11:52 AM In reply to this comment (#870867) Except that Bruce basically says,"this should be an R movie, but somehow we got away with PG-13." NEITHER IS GOOD. If its getting an R rating that doesn't add anything then its just throwing in cussing for no reason. If its getting a PG-13 when it should be getting an R then its another obvious sign with how screwed up our ratings system is. If its going to be R -rated I want it to earn that rating for a reason. If its going to be PG13 it better not get it because they paid off the right people at the ratings office. (Reply to this) |
|
blank blank writes: on Jun 25 2007 01:56 PM i think the rating thing is an issue not because people want to see boobies and learn new curse words, but because die hard fans have come to expect a certain edge from the franchise that cant be conveyed in a pg 13 movie. nobody is asking for hostel or boogie nights, but cant we have a solid non watered down action flick? for example, kevin smith does not scream DIE HARD to me. neither does cyber terrorism. or john mclane jumping on fighter jets. true lies this is not. but, i am excited for the movie and hopefully it can live up to at least die hard with a vengence. besides, ratings are complete b.s. these days. they want to make a movie R rated if the characters SMOKE. not do drugs or weed. smoke cigarettes. please. (Reply to this) |

highdough writes: on Jun 26 2007 01:23 AM In reply to this comment (#870861) I've heard Willis talk at length about the PG-13 issue. Perhaps he's just sick of talking about such a stupid issue. Many of the great action movies of the last few years have been PG-13. And I do think it's funny that you talk so highly of 16 Blocks as the last good Die Hard when it was PG-13. Oops. (Reply to this) |

ArrowDawg writes: on Jun 26 2007 09:20 PM Yippee-Ki-Yay Mr. Falcon - LMAO I remember the first time I saw Die Hard 2 on regular TV and I heard that line. I just about projectile puked all over the screen. It was the most utterly stupid edit in possibly the history of TV. It sounded completely retarded. (Reply to this) |

ArrowDawg writes: on Jun 26 2007 09:22 PM In reply to this comment (#870857) Michael Bay IS a hack. Most of his movies are a complete joke, like Pearl Harbor for instance. I had high hopes for that movie and he totally destroyed it. He should just make videogames. (Reply to this) |

ArrowDawg writes: on Jun 26 2007 09:23 PM Damn, has a 4th movie in a franchise ever gotten the kind of reviews Die Hard 4 is getting? Amazing! (Reply to this) |

chazbow writes: on Jun 27 2007 08:03 PM Willis needs to do another movie with Walter Hill. "Last Man Standing" is an amazingly cool flick. (Reply to this) |
