"Sex in the City" Film Finally Ready To Go
Variety reports that New Line is planning a film based on HBO's long running sex-com "Sex in the City." Production on this project has seen multiple stages of arousal but it's only now that reports of actual action on the project are popping up.
Cast member Kim Cattrall interrupted development on this production two years ago when she requested more script control and a salary similar to that of Sarah Jessica Parker, the show's star and one of "Sex"'s exec-producers. Ultimately, all struggles ended with a bigger check, script control, and promises of an HBO series for Cattrall.
Back in February, Aussie publication The Age reported the recent summer success of "Devil Wears Prada" as reason to revive the "Sex" gang of four for the screen. A prize package trip to New York with $2,000 spending money to ‘let fans live like Carrie Bradshaw' was added to sweeten the pot.
Creator Michael Patrick King is set to write and direct, and presuming the warm up is a good one all four of the girl gang (Parker, Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis) are signed on and expected to arrive primed for action. Supporting actor Mario Cantone, who plays Anthony Marantino, has already announced he's in. There's no word yet, however, on the return or involvement of Big (Chris Noth).

I am sure that there is a market out there that wants to see old women with saggy titties. I believe the razzies have already reserve some spots for the ladies. By the time this movie comes out in the theaters, Kim kattral is going to be old enough to qualify for AARP. (Reply to this) |

Well, another misfire-in-the-making. What more is there to say? But way to go Kim, you're complicating an uncomplicated movie. Just let them finish it, release it theaters for a few weeks to satisfy the fans, and allow it to be forgotten as it rightfully should be. No matter how much script control you want and how much you get, you're not making this movie any better. (Reply to this) |
