Dark Knight Teaser Trailer Is Coming Soon!
Plus, Aaron Eckhart talks Two-Face.
Good news, Batfans! Warner Bros. is planning to show the teaser trailer for the much-anticipated The Dark Knight in front of The Simpsons Movie when it hits theaters on July 27.
July 27 just happens to be the same day as the Warner Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con, but ComingSoon is suggesting that the teaser might be screened even earlier in the day than the panel.
In other Batnews, Aaron Eckhart talked with Dark Horizons about his role in The Dark Knight. Eckhart plays Harvey Dent, the district attorney-turned-villain Two-Face. Eckhart revealed that Two-Face will be making an appearance in The Dark Night (it was rumored that Harvey Dent might appear, but that Two-Face was being saved for future installments). He said the role typifies the polarities of the Batman universe.
"I like the character," he said. "I like playing this guy. This guy has likable attributes, characteristics. And it really, as in this whole Batman going through it, it's really a mirror of our times in a lot of ways. It's a comment on what's going on in the world today. And my character fits into that really nicely."
The Dark Knight, slated for release in July 2008, stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Heath Ledger; it will be helmed by Christopher Nolan, who also directed 2005's Batman Begins.

on Jul 16 2007 01:34 PM Great news about the trailer, but Eckharts news...Does no one know how to build anticipation anymore? I know this is a bit silly posting on a movie news website, but for me the least exciting way to find out plot details like this is to hear the jerk off actor spill the beans in an interview. For me it's better to see it in the trailer or better yet have it come as a complete surprise during the film. I swear, if Empire Strikes Back were made today they'd probably reveal that Vader is Lukes father in an interview with Gene Shallit. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 16 2007 01:57 PM we won't see much of the film, even compared to other teasers trailers, its way too early, even if they have shot plenty of principle photography, it has to go through postproduction as well. (Reply to this) |

And my character fits into that really nicely" -so was Thank U For Smoking. What exactly does this comment mean? How is Two-Face the batman villain a mirror of our times? More like a mirror of todays women! HAHA get it ? Two faced?? Another thing - Don't say the Teaser is COMING SOON. We know its coming soon. **** me running, EVERYTHING is coming soon. Even Transformers 2 is coming soon. My guess is that the Joker has green hair and makeup as a gimmick then he gets shot in the face and becomes a true deformed joker like we saw on the website. As for two-face...I'm glad hes in it. I think this is going to be better than Batman Begins. I cant wait to see it. Cause I mean its coming soon afterall right? (Reply to this) |

on Jul 16 2007 03:13 PM Batman Begins was ok, but it wasn't up there with Superman Returns or X3. I don't understand how everybody is getting so excited. The movie had some good scenes but overall failed to live up to the hype and turned retarded at the end. Overall it's a C- but the last 10 minutes are an F-. The only saving grace acting wise was Katie Holmes and she isn't even going to be in the sequel. (Reply to this) |
