Wahlberg Upset Over Saw IV Cameo
Summary
Most actors are happy when they get asked back to a role. Not Donnie Wahlberg. Though left for dead at the end of Saw II, he was granted more screen time in Saw III. That seemed to be the end, but it looks like there's more Wahlberg in Saw IV. Back to Article

Boss Fan writes: on Jul 18 2007 04:36 AM In reply to this comment (#941775) Plenty. He has a series with John Leguizamo that starts (I believe) this Sunday. Like someone said, it may be contractual, but I'm betting they are using footage they already shot. Between this series and his role in "Dead Silence," I think Donnie is better off sticking with TV roles. (He was great in the criminally short-lived "Boomtown") (Reply to this) |

halose7en writes: on Jul 18 2007 10:20 AM As much as I enjoy this series, I'm always a little worried that the writers are writing themselves into a corner with each installment that they make - which is especially concerning, given how young the Saw series still is. (Reply to this) |

I liked this site cause it let us swear. not JUST because of that, but that was a great, grown-up choice. *though i abused the privilege like a child (Reply to this) |

LEGENDc writes: on Jul 18 2007 03:37 PM That would be cool if Saw IV was about Jigsaw torturing the New Kids On The Block and Donnie Wahlberg was the only on who survived and then became a detective. I think Johnathan Knight would die in the first 5 minutes, then Danny would have to die next. Come to think about it thats a good idea for a franchise. Have a boogey man Kill old Has beens staring old has beens TM. See I already trademarked that idea so go ahead and try to steal it Wienstiens. (Reply to this) |

tycox writes: on Jul 18 2007 04:25 PM You know that Saw IV is going to suck if Donnie Wahlberg is pissed that he is in it. A movie that D-Listers don't even want to be a part of? You would think Mr. Old Kid on the Block would appreciate any work/money he can get! I think if they would have ended the franchise the way part 3 ended they would end with a little bit of dignity but it sounds to me like all they are worried about now is they money....much like the rest of cinema these days! But these actors get paid more than some people make in an entire year. for 3 minutes of on screen time. if he has a problem. don't go to the press. talk with your agent. cause when folks like me read that ****. i won't see your movie. you won't make money from me. you've already made you money *****. with your boy bad. just quit while your ahead hotshot. i'm not going to bring you your evian of late' to your trailor. walk the **** down to craft services like every other normal ****er that puts his pants on the same as you. maybe we can throw rose pedals down in from of you so your danty **** feet don't get dirty. ah i stick to my original comment... **** him... Grimpuppy writes: on Aug 06 2007 02:03 AM Donnie has been in a few things since New Kids. I really don't think money is a issue (considering how much the New Kids Made - Do you know as of their last album in the early 90's NKOTB had made more the Michael Jackson and Madonna combined! . He has also co-wrote and produced music - including he produced and co-wrote Marky Mark and the Funky Bunchs first 2 albums and worked on both solo releases for NKOTB's Joseph McIntyre and Jordan Knight in 1999. He has stared in since 1996 (and other roles not mentioned here) - "Ransom", "Boomtown" (T.V Series 2 seasons), Main roll in "Southie" (which was a good movie actually), "The Sixth sense" (as the guy that shot Bruce in the start most people don't know this cause of all the weight he had to lose for the role), "Band Of Brothers", "Dreamcatcher" as Duddits, "Saw 2 & 3", "Annapolis", "Kings Of South Beach" (big hit TV movie), "Dead Silence" (he was kinda odd in this one), Right now he is in "The Kill Point" a mini series that is getting lots of viewers and awesome ratings and is a good show and his acting is top notch in it, and in 2008/2009 is going to be a main actor alone side movie legends Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the movie "Righteous Kill" that starts filming around September. All his roles have been really well acted and strong roles... But Donnie likes to play a cop the most (But I have not heard yet if he'll be one of the cops or the serial killer in the new movie). So I like the guy IMO he is the only New Kid left that still has balls (Besides people seem to forget or don't know that Mark Wahlberg was once a New Kid himself ;) ) Way to go Donnie... See you in future movies. (Reply to this) |

hangintough14 writes: on Sep 09 2007 04:58 AM Donnie Wahlberg is an amazing f*ing actor and anybody who thinks otherwise wouldn't know good acting if it smacked them across their f*ing face! I just think that he was upset that they are dragging his character through all of the sequels when Det. Matthews was supposed to die in Saw II! I am proud to say that I have been a fan of Donnie Wahlberg from the minute I first laid eyes on him and I will be a fan until the day I die. ~Corryn (Reply to this) |

CJ1987 writes: on Oct 28 2007 10:22 PM I honestly don't understand what the huge dilemma is over this situation, and I am sure Donnie has a good reason for his response. I would also like to note that Saw IV, starring Donnie Wahlberg, was number one at the box office this weekend making $30 million, unlike his so called "better-acting" brother whose recent films haven't even made it into the top 2 (We Own the Night and Shooter)! If you don't like Donnie, then don't worry about his comments... (Reply to this) |
