Sex and the City Adds Cast, Release Date
After years in development limbo, the Sex and the City feature film is wasting no time going from green light to silver screen.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Jennifer Hudson would be making an appearance in the film; now, from MTV Movies, comes word that New Line has chosen a release date. So here it is, Sex fans: Expect to see Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon at a theater near you on May 30, 2008.
As the article points out, this means Sex's current competitors for the weekend's new-release box-office dollars are Eddie Murphy's Starship Dave and Judd Apatow's Forgetting Sarah Marshall. We have our suspicions as to how these films will fare against each other -- and, more importantly, against Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, opening a week earlier -- but we'll keep them to ourselves.
