The trailer for The Other Boleyn Girl -- the historical drama starring Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson that reaches theaters February 29 -- is online!

From the film's official synopsis:

A sumptuous and sensual tale of intrigue, romance and betrayal set against the backdrop of a defining moment in European history, The Other Boleyn Girl tells the story of two beautiful sisters, Anne (Natalie Portman) and Mary (Scarlett Johansson) Boleyn who, driven by their family's blind ambition, compete for the love of the handsome and passionate King Henry VIII (Eric Bana). While both women eventually share the king's bed, only one will ascend to the throne for a brief and turbulent reign that ends tragically with a swing of the executioner's sword.

So many corsets, so little time. Hit "play" below to watch the trailer!

There's obviously some great talent behind this, but that trailer seemed a bit cheesy at points. That could just be how it was edited.

Don't know the story, but it looks like there could be some good acting performances to watch.

I have read the book and found it surprisingly faithful to the facts as I know them. There is nothing in the book that is contradicted by historical fact, although some interesting inferences are made. The trailer does look pretty good, for those who care, but I would presume if the powers behind the movie were confident, it would have made an appearance this Oscar season. Or held until later next year. For myself, I would love it if a February release went on to dominate the Oscars. But I don't see it happening.

that has got to be the most absurd use of Mr. Deep Overvoice. besides that though, the performances look good and I would see anything with Natalie Portman in it. Even Johansson, who I usually dislike, looks good in her role.

This book was excellent (along with the other 2 in the trillogy), my computer won't let me play the trailor right now...but with that cast, I can't wait to see it! I don't even need to see the trailor to be excited.

Didn't even recognize Scarlet at first! I'm really looking forward to this.

hmmm..I have read the book, and it was delicious. I hope that the movie will not stray from the book to much...also I didn't see Goerge's character at all in the trailer...this makes me think that it will not be as close to book as i hope. I'm looking forward to seeing movie.
