2. The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Hancock, and more DVD dates
We're getting Iron Man in September, the Incredible Hulk in October, Hellboy in November, and The Dark Knight reportedly in December, so just try to squeeze another summer superhero into your Netflix queue this fall. Will Smith's Hancock is coming to DVD and Blu-ray November 25, just in time for Thanksgiving!
As per usual these days, Hancock will come in the trifecta of DVD formats (single-disc, 2-disc and Blu-ray) as well as on UMD for PSP-toting fans. Opt for either the 2-disc or Blu-ray and you'll get both the theatrical and an unrated cut of the film, plus a downloadable version. The Blu-ray release will feature BD-Live in some capacity (as yet unannounced) and no less than seven bonus features will compliment the film, but our favorite one so far is a feature called "Mere Mortals: Behind the Scenes with 'Dirty Pete,'" which we assume is either about Hancock director Peter Berg or a filthy euphemism. (We're hoping for the latter.)

on Sep 08 2008 06:50 PM I will be picking up The Big Lebowski tomorrow, I lost my copy. I'm definitely going to pick up TDK, HB:II, Iron Man, and I will rent Hancock Unrated on Blu ray to see if its better. I'll rent The Fall, Ebert also loved The Cell which I didn't like very much. The KILL BILL fills like another slap on the face from the Wiensteins, I am willing to bet a lot that they will release THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR conveniently when INGLORIOUS BASTARDS comes out. Also Jet Li should finally retire after The Mummy 3, so bad... I'm excited about Speed Racer next week, that will look great on Blu Ray. Oh there were some other cool DVD news I read about the other day like THE WIRE (better then Sopranos) and DEADWOOD are coming out in box sets in December, and there is going to be a Blu Ray release of Southland Tales with Richard Kelly audio commentary (I want a Director's Cut!)... Then I wanted to rent Son of Rambow, but couldn't find it! Just to say I really like when you make this kind of comment. On another topic, I HATE Chucky. He frighten me out.
