My hopes of this FINALLY seeing some kind of screen adaptation have been bolstered by the completion of the "unfilmable" Watchmen.

Still, with all the Christian fundamentalism in this country right now, I just can't see the subject matter being marketable as a mainstream movie.

Sounds pretty messed up, the thought of a hard-drinking Irish vampire amuses me though. But still I love Mendes and I'm down for anything he touches.
