We've been going strong for the past two weeks, and last night, the third episode of The Rotten Tomatoes Show aired on Current TV. If you didn't have the chance to catch it, then you can watch it on the Current website.
Perhaps you've now seen the format of the show, and you realize, "Hey, that could be me offering my opinions on Street Fighter or Watchmen." Well, if you've seen our updates in the past, then you know that it most certainly could be your face on the television screen. For example, we would love to have your contributions on our next show, in which Brett, Ellen, and friends will be discussing I Love You, Man, Duplicity, and Knowing. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to create free content for your website! I was worried that it would be a contest of some sort, or that you would actually pay the writer/performers for their work.

Now, Now,
I think it's a nice possibility. You've got people paying college credit to become interns, which is much worse. . .

Oh yeah, I saw that show the other day. IT SUCKED!!! Some pretty boy and a failed actress attempt comedy while bitter wannabe film critics make catty remarks about movies. LAME!

Disagree completely with gibbyblaylock's harsh review of this show. Yes, the jokes may fall flat and every quirky comment may not work, but compared to other current movie review shows, this is actually a creative approach. This show is genius compared to the other review show I know of: the Ben and Ben version of At The Movies. I like that the reviews are gathered from a variety of regular people and that even average movie fans can weigh in with their opinion. I think some of the segments are at least different in how they approach the same material (Haiku DVD reviews, as opposed to just DVD picks, as well as 3 word reviews, on the street interviews, and top 5 lists, that aren't too bad). Also, what do you mean "bitter wannabe critics making catty remarks"? How is that any different than, say, "At the Movies." I personally don't find any of them bitter and, so far, the harsh reviews have been justified (there weren't many good films on the three shows they already had). I also think that some of the video pointed out positives even within a predominately bad film. I don't get the hate. It sounds more like gibbyblaylock doesn't like movie critics or review shows at all.
So, the hosts don't land every joke and can come off as trying too hard. I don't think that means they fail completely. And I can't believe people are complaining about not getting paid to offer an opinion! You do realize you don't get money for posting reviews on the internet forums either, right?
In my opinion, this is a pretty good show. It's new, not perfect, but better than "At The Movies" (Ben Lyons irritates me). Plus it is available as a podcast on iTunes for free. Enjoy it for what it is: a goofy review show with opinions from everyday people. No need to complain.

Ben Lyons would be the anti-Christ, but, he has no followers. Don't know what he is, but definately something hell related. . . or of bad fondue.
