A cast that includes two Oscar winners (Charlize Theron and Frances McDormand) and some top-flight supporting players (Pete Postlethwaite and Jonny Lee Miller). A big-budget remake of a visionary, unique MTV cartoon. The sophomore film by a director (Karyn Kusama) whose debut ("Girlfight") won high praise (it's at 89 percent on the Tomatometer).
