Season Info
The third season of "Eastbound & Down" follows mulleted baseball player Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) as he is back in the states for another shot at major league glory. Playing in Myrtle Beach, Powers deals with the realities of growing older, taking on responsibility and separating his personal life from the game. Kenny's new teammates include clownish catcher Shane ( Jason Sudeikis) and up-and-coming Russian pitcher Ivan ( Ike Barinholtz ).

Critic Reviews for Eastbound & Down: Season 3
What I'd call extreme comedy, willing to risk alienating a mass audience in favor of a devoted cult.
Eastbound & Down holds together so well that it's worth looking past the ugly for the solid performances and the charcoal-black humor beneath.
McBride celebrates the Southern-fried dirtball culture of flyover America like some Red State Diaries; it's a veritable HBO Hee-Haw.
Regardless of its shortcomings, Eastbound & Down can't be faulted for following through on its primary vision.
