Ironside: Season 1 (2013)

TOMATOMETER

AUDIENCE SCORE

Critic Consensus: Ironside is an unnecessary, lackluster remake that could be a decent police procedural if it wasn't so mundane and monotonous.

As much as I like Underwood, the plot is all rather routine and most of this series wouldn't have looked out of place in the 1960s.

Buffalo News

Ironside tries to be "not just another cop procedural", but it actually is, and it's not as special as we wanted it to be.

While Underwood does his best to add bite to the title character, he can't overcome the recycled feel of Ironside.

Time Out Chicago

Violence, police brutality in unremarkable procedural.

Moments... are so bad they are almost laughable.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

As independent as this new Ironside is, thanks to the plodding writing here, he is being defined by his disability, the exact opposite of what someone in his condition would want.
