This week's episode was calmer and more rooted in character than conspiracy, although we still got plenty of Project Castor developments.
Even when the tangled conspiracy mythology of Orphan Black threatens to become overwhelming, the propulsive storytelling and the protean versatility of Maslany make this cult fave a genre must-see.
It's a challenge to lose oneself in the escalating mythology while constantly being reminded of the visual trickery necessary to, say, put several version of her on screen simultaneously, a wrinkle only magnified by the Castor plotline.
This episode kept the fast-paced story going with lots of sexy manipulation, wigs and a talking scorpion.
