Ultimately, Ravenswood is a sufficiently spooky tale - and you don't have to be a Pretty Little Liars fan to enjoy the hair-raising series.

The group of teenagers may have been left sinking, but based on the creeptastic premiere, I'm sensing Ravenswood will be swimming strongly right along with its sister series.

It's definitely less grounded in reality, and clearly intended as more of a horror story than a murder mystery like [Pretty Little Liars]. As a huge horror fan, I'm very much down with that.

TV Equals

The clunky exposition in the premiere episode leaves viewers uncertain where to turn. Too many of us will decide it's not worth trying to follow.
