Montgomery Burns (voice of Harry Shearer) with a long list of safety violations. Homer soon learns Burns has an unusual way of protecting himself from legal actions for his wildly unsafe plant -- the ownership is actually in the name of his pet canary, making it impossible to prosecute him. Homer persuades Burns to sign over the plant to him while repairs are being done, and when Burns goes along with the plan, Homer fires him, but he quickly discovers dealing with the ins and outs of running the plan is more than he can handle.
