Surprisingly, the characters of Patty and Selma Bouvier (Marge's grumpy, chain-smoking sisters) are the focus of two of Season 16's most-notable installments. Thank God It's Doomsday
A religious movie and subsequent coincidences convince Homer that "the Rapture is nigh," and the folks of Springfield, God love 'em, take him at his word. Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Hank Azaria.
The Father, the Son and the Holy Guest Star
After cooking up a rat-filled pie that destroys the school's Medieval Fair, Bart is expelled from Springfield Elementary. The family enrolls him in Catholic school, where he meets a sympathetic Irish priest (Liam Neeson) who gently nudges Bart towards Roman Catholicism. When Homer meets with the priest, he is won over as well, and Marge, Ned Flanders, and Reverend Lovejoy wage a battle with the Catholics for Bart's soul.
