A surprisingly well done, well made movie, with enough heart and very strong performances to help this movie rise above the narrative holes and, at times, lengths. Whitaker delivers what may be considered as an Oscar-worthy performance, and even Oprah Winfrey delivers an excellent performance. In terms of the Presidents, well, i understand that such a movie does not need to present a perfect cast in order to fill these roles, but Alan Rickman as Reagan, Robin Williams as Eisenhower and Marsden as Kennedy are not real all-around winners in terms of logic and reliability. However, this is compensated by a good performance by John Cusack as Nixon and an especially humorous performance by Schreiber as Johnson. Apart from that problem, it is a wholly satisfying movie. And it may be better than "The Help"...
