Sci-fi Imposter

    Posted on 03/16/08 09:39 PM | Last edited on 03/16/08 09:37 PM

Director Gary Fleder ("Kiss the Girls" 1997 and "Don't Say a Word 2001") directs movie, "Imposter," it is a sci-fi exercise nearby, first class in misaligned identity. The invigorating plot depicts what happens when human rights are controlled under a martial law situation. People live in restricted growth, possibly put to arrest on scanty suspicion. If somebody becomes a criminal will be subject to torture, only to prove innocence.

"Imposter," based on a short story by sci-fi author Philip K. Dick whose "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" ("Blade Runner" 1982 starring Harrison Ford is also based upon).

It is the year 2079. Human rights and free liberties are against the ruins on Earth that experienced attack from other unknown aliens so called "genetically superiors" from Alpha Centuri. Dr. Spencer Olham (Gary Sinise "Snake Eyes" 1998 "Reindeer Games" 2000 and "The Forgotten" 2004) is the brain fabricating new inventory weapons. The World Is Fantasist

    Posted on 09/29/07 08:00 AM | Last edited on 09/29/07 07:58 AM

?The Beach,? is the movie which lasted as long as two hours, and had to do with lots of violence, profanity, nudity, and drug use. Director is Danny Boyle (?Trainspotting? 1996, ?A Life Less Ordinary 1997,? and ?Alien Love Triangle? 2002). The star is Leonardo DiCaprio (?Gangs of New York,? 2002 and ?Romeo + Juliet? 1996). The movie is released during the year 2000, and its genre falls from the mountain edge through the waterfall down below.

It is ?the Beach? about the leftover treasure map to the most beautiful beach in the world. Its opening scene has Richard (DiCaprio) walked into a crowded Thai people living through the noisy villages. He is the only American who smiled to everyone who response to every way. Then I find Richard stood in front of the giant golden Buda leisured in the loose pants and travel bag. As the noise keeps on, the Thai shop and street have Richard in the position of the snake attacker, and the character drinks and celebrates the joy ride quickly. I get the feel it is a busy all set foreign country... More

    Nolan's Beginning

    Posted on 09/29/07 07:56 AM | Last edited on 09/29/07 07:51 AM

The dark knight look like Batman with the usual dark clothes Bruce Wayne played by Christian Bale bent his arms down on his knee made a cover for this movie, ?Batman Begins.? He plays the dark hero who wandered how much he could be a stature of liberty sign. Is it the good cover? He looks fully tall above and beyond, yet he has limits with his inner self being. For that, I see the rest of the cover is to be full of bats flied through the darkness. Could Bale be the chief in this movie?s focus point?

I often love to the big opening comic-book scenery from every movie adaptations. The comics aren?t suppose be boring, I love them. However, the movie ?Batman Begins,? jumps shift since the opening... More

Ghost Ship Is Single Scope Is Full of Sea

    Posted on 04/18/07 05:12 PM | Last edited on 04/18/07 05:07 PM

The ?Ghost Ship?s? cover has skull that alters its image, it is right on the ship's bow, so it looks like a blurry image that is entirely in blue color with dark shadows. At first I assume the ship is about ghost, it seems like it has a lot of them on the ship or it is just that. I like it, the cover is a bright idea. Designing the ?Ghost Ship? is also the director Steve Beck ("Thir13en Ghosts") makes this ?Ghost Ship,? the haunting horror nearly misses everything becoming uninteresting.

The set in 1962 is production is full of design, and insightful hints. The ship is the abandoned boat set on the sea. It is the overly secret mystery of the Antonio Graza. The introduction is brief, the feature ship is all so brief, and it is the complete craft. It surrounds with misty fog, natural weather, and evil peaceful shadows. It is the ghost ship which making the less hard salvagers more rough in their haunting dreams. The haunted sea setup is about the majestically old ocean liner luxury ship that vanishes 40 years ago, and then it reappears in front of the lively crews.

Things happen often not what it seems. The crew is origin out of Alaska, find the ship but it is no ordinary, it is the ship full of ghosts. Later the whole ship is devilish hell, some like blood stink runs through an axe is example of the wounded soul. Life is never too kind to these lost souls. It is like I am seeing the flesh in their blood, it is that scary. The ghosts are only humans with real blood. They have nudity that is what makes them eye-catching.

The little girl character is Katie (Emily Browning) who appears from here and there, to show her part with the bits and pieces of her dress and slow in motion acting, though I like everything about her short skinny and pale face that is stunning as the scenery changes within flashbacks. I see the lighting and chilling, once to catch the movement and intentional slow motion, I will like some of that smile and I think she is lovely in every corner. Then, I think of her as the girl who is the sole survivor of the steel cable incident; I feel more sympathy for the flesh and blood protagonists... More

    Sara's Hope to Dance Again

    Posted on 04/18/07 05:06 PM | Last edited on 04/18/07 05:03 PM

The Paramount?s ?Save the Last Dance (2001),? is a MTV production and PG - 13, which is Sara?s hope to attend Juilliard to learn dancing, which is a key to her self esteem and career. Duane Adler and Cheryl Edwards' script is a well written one. The movie?s director is Thomas Carter.

The movie opens with Sara Johnson (Julia Stiles) sitting in a running train who goes from her Midwestern Illinois suburb to the big city, Chicago. It is the noisy traffic jam and busy ride. As she gazes sadly out the window at the rushing landscape, remembering the past which her mother died in a car wreck while she is at her daughter?s audition. In the meanwhile, she also serves as a narrator, explaining the importance of her move. There?s the flashback layouts - she is a once talented young ballerina with great ambitions, who is grieving the loss of her mother - with lots of scenes showing talks, hugs and kisses with her mother - which are short and straightforward. During the flashback, its scene shows her mother?s car crashing into a group of cars and truck - which is shocking. Of course, she feels extremely guilty, for that, hopes her mom is still alive.

So now Sara starts to relive her mother?s dedication through her memories. As she arrives at the train station, she sees her old jazz musician father Roy (Terry Kinney) hinting her to the South side. Right after they smiles in a welcoming tiny apartment, immediately, she is in a world that is entirely opposite of her previous familiar playground... More

    1847's Vanity Fair

    Posted on 01/24/07 10:15 AM | Last edited on 01/24/07 10:13 AM

1847?s William Makepeace Thackery?s novel is the great book. Nobody reads it anymore, only maybe for the best graduate students. This one is the big-screen version of the novel. The director Mira Nair ("Monsoon Wedding") and writer Julian Fellowes try to bring a sense of melodrama. The movie storyline is short and it does not fully tell the social criticism. Unlike the novel, it is short, and less plotting. Mira Nair?s "Vanity Fair" tries so hard to let go all of the strength of the - Great Expectation - the movie, like movie, ?Great Expectation,? its costume designs are match in heaven, now, this ?Vanity Fair,? is off the chart on costume designs. I don?t know it is a good thing or bad idea. I love the history backdrop, and the state mind of the characters, but the dresses and costumes are too much colorful, the designs might not have to do with modern fashion.

Of course, the history sets during the Napoleonic wars. It is the story of respectability. And also the story of Becky Sharpe. Reese Witherspoon plays Becky, the actress is in ?Legally Blonde" and ?Sweet Home Alabama." The character is an orphan who scheme her way to class rank. There?s another childhood friend, Amelia Sedley (Romola Garai) who leave their home boarding school wanting to find their place in society.

It is definite society of complex world. Things do happen only in 19th century English literature. It is strange that Becky falls in love with Rawdon Crowley (James Purefoy), favored nephew who is somehow relation to Hoskins' clan. At the same time, her sweet friend Amelia marries George Osborne (Jonathan Rhys-Meyers), an army officer... More

The Rock's Sword Fight and the Scorpion King

    Posted on 11/25/06 01:05 PM | Last edited on 11/25/06 01:02 PM

The director Chuck Russell?s ?the Scorpion King,? the movie reigns next to its predecessors, ?the Mummy,? and ?the Mummy Returns.? The movie involves the plots of variety of awful landscape and dull armies of characters. It is special long good old-fashioned hand-to-hand combat, with its not so inventive special effect. Director Russell and his screenwriters stay true to the period of time. The special effect hold the audience with imagination, the storyline show them with playful spirit.

Director Russell ("The Mask") keeps his motion picture moving forward at none stopping fast pace. Russell shots his movie entirely in state of California and Universal studio?s backyard. The movie is long and cheesy at times, and nothing short of special effect. He plots his main character well with the action heroine plays by the Rock who is a trademark. The rock the actor plays well with his eyebrow and the hype. To his credit, he never seems to take it all very seriously.

Just like Arnold, the former Dwayne Douglas Johnson has charisma to get the job done. He is that good. Just so called, ?the Rock,? is the modern ?Conan the Barbarian.? The Rock - is dirty, fearless, and painstaking. The former WWF hero the Rock takes advantage to aim for his debut of the movie, ?the Scorpion King.? In terms of Rock's "Scorpion" no problem altitude character, his movie reigns the box-office.

The big-presence World Wrestling Federation superstar the Rock takes on the majestic role. He is the adventurous Rock who kicks up a lot of dust, shakes up a lot of sand, and makes up a lot of the jokes. The Rock plays Mathayus has easy on screen aura. His expression is about his unquestionable physical presence. Yet he looks mean and still mode. He seems reasonable and soft talking. It is not just the Rock who is the natural strong type, it is the series of sequence of action events, that deals with the series of swordfights and swashbuckling... More

Blind Fury Mei Butt-Kicks the Epic

    Posted on 11/25/06 01:00 PM | Last edited on 11/25/06 12:58 PM

Zhang Ziyi is the most young beautiful actress whose seductive mood and expression making her the butt-kicking spirit. She is charismatic and romantic in many scenes. Her ?Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? is only a short awhile before the opening of the ?House of Flying Daggers.? The movie is about her character, the blind fury woman, who is Mei. She plays well with the main character, which is so attractive, though, she is blind but she is jumps, kicks, flies, and kills, not much of handicap.

The ?House of Flying Daggers? movie sets in the golden age of Tang China. It?s a corrupt dynasty. It?s very much a poetic nation and rare history. The weapon is the flying daggers, which are particularly trickery objects. The movie title, ?House of Flying Daggers,? is surprising exposure. They are amazing to some squadrons of flying daggers, and untitled-no-nonsense objects. The old weapon represents full of air.

Director Zhang Yimou ("Raise the Red Lantern," and "Shanghai Triad") loves a lucrative world of martial-arts sword and sorcery. He makes the year?s most successful hit, ?Hero,? the movie. Now, he submits another martial-art set of rules, the ?House of Flying Daggers.? Yimou directs this movie a heroine blind-undercover. Yimou directs and writes the script with Li Feng and Wang Bin. His style fills with spare characters, cliche plotting, and hand medium. His style is epic and vast. He best at staging the action scenery. He directs the movie as if there are all smashing swords and daggers and all over the place. The movie?s emotional climax is pure showcase, as if there?s body spinning, leg whipping, blood dripping, and all so dramatic. Yimou?s directing strength indulges something like fetish blood gore, dark dreaming comedy, and immaculate compositional nature. The movie is poetic, unintentional and not really silly... More

May the Force Be With You, May the Force Be With Lucas?

    Posted on 10/28/06 12:59 PM | Last edited on 10/28/06 12:58 PM

Director Irvin Kershner makes an original outer-space movie, ?The Empire Strikes Back,? it is solid storyline and second installment from, ?Star Wars,? it is the fifth of all-the-envisioned nine part series. The original creator, George Lucas?s ?Star Wars? is a geek-whiz-oddity. The highest grossing movie is beyond comic book proportions. Its characters and developments are involving in the environment of Good vs. Evil. It is totally action-packed adventure. It is dark but I don?t like it to categorize into dark gore ingenious comedy. The movie is long. It surly owns the crowd and thrills the fans of space fantasies. From the naive farm-boy Luke, rogue X-wing, princess Leia, evil Vader, electric lightning strike, and Millennium Falcon, to these elements combine to have this movie an absolute delight. The Star Wars movie, ?the Empire Strikes Back, ? which is rated-PG. I read the scrolling starting yellowish line, I feel like I am into ever-lasting space exploration. It opens up my mind with all possibilities, I join elite of Twentieth-Century Fox fanfare, and I want to be The Lucas/Kershner Fan. I dare my popcorns to engage the Evil Empire, and challenge the warfare view.

The movie's plot is when Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) takes off with his counter part R2-D2 to train in the ways of the Jedi/Yoda. Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) spend on most of broken-down Millennium Falcon trying to get away from the Imperial Star Destroyers and Tie-Fighters. They end it up on the planet Cloud City after a thundering trip through the asteroid field. The gas mining operation runs under the leader, Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), who is the old friend of Solo... More
