meg, I am so incredibly happy that you loved it even more than I did. I know how anxious you were to see it and it would have been a crushing blow if it had been bad. 1 Replies | Report Abuse yes i would have been devastated...but it's my no. 1 of all time i kid you not...and this is not just me ranting like i did with sin city because i was excited...i am completely serious...i have never seen anything like this before. 0 Replies | Report Abuse When you see THE MACHINIST you'll appreciate BALE even more. 2 Replies | Report Abuse Agreed. Bale is so overdue for an Oscar nomination, it's not funny. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I really, really want to see that. It's on my list :) 1 Replies | Report Abuse I look forward to your review. I hope my gushing about it doesn't ruin it for you. I hate to build things up, but I loved it, meg. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Glad you liked American Psycho. It's the inspiration for my user name and one of my favourite movies. Also it made Bale one of my favourite actors and I was delighted when he was cast in Batman Begins. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I agree with pretty much everything you said. It is also one of my favorite movies, but I would never say that in the forums...God forbid someone has a couple of 2000+ movies in their favorites list! I have to admit, I didn't even know Bale was British until I saw him interviewed once. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Ah yes I almost forget the famous 1 to Batman Begins scale that you created the other day 1 Replies | Report Abuse I believe it is the most accurate scale available. 0 Replies | Report Abuse WHAT?!! 1 for Master's of the Universe?! Blasphemy!!! Dolph Lundgren is spinning in his grave!! 1 Replies | Report Abuse He's dead??? 0 Replies | Report Abuse ...nah 0 Replies | Report Abuse Hey man. I agree with your view on Spider-Man 3, I haven't put my rating up yet but I didn't like it, I was almost falling asleep 1 Replies | Report Abuse I couldn't believe all the stupid dancing and musical numbers. Ugh. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

No problem, really glad you like it. 0 Replies | Report Abuse It sounds great, meg. I didn't even realize that one was a talkie. 0 Replies | Report Abuse No problem, it feels great when you get someone a gift and they can enjoy and love it for a long time :) 1 Replies | Report Abuse Yeh it really does. That's why I honestly enjoy giving more than getting...it's a great feeling to know you gave someone something they really enjoy. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Gotta love Yojimbo's sequel. Toshiro Mifune and Chaplin are Gods amongst men (although certainly in very different ways). The Sanjuro character is nothing short of iconic. I'm not a huge fan of The Great Dictator comparatively with Chaplin's other work but it still is Chaplin. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I've seen a few Chaplin's now. My personal favorite right now is City Lights, with this is a close second. I am buying Modern Times on your suggestion...thanks very much :) 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I'll be watching Napoleon Dynamite alone, but I expect I will still enjoy it. If something is funny I laugh even if I am alone. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I laugh too, but mostly on the inside :) 1 Replies | Report Abuse I've been known to howl even if I am alone. :D Crazy people and their little quirks. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Loved THE BOURNE SUPREMACY, but I actually liked the camerawork; it was gritty and raw, not polished up and slick, just intense and brutal. I liked it more than THE BOURNE IDENTITY. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

You shouldn't hold back from expressing how wonderful it is. It's hard for me to decide now between this and The Iron Giant as my favorite superhero animated film. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I hate always adding stuff into my top 100 because that also means taking stuff out. I think I might divide it up into categories, because Iron Giant and The Incredibles would both be in the top animated. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Yes, definately a very very very entertaining film! I can't see how anyone can pan it. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I'll see these when they are done with the series and I can have a marathon. I'm not that interested in them right now, even though I bought the first one when it came out. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I watched this last night. After I bought it. I love it. My favorite so far. 1 Replies | Report Abuse They are all surprisingly great movies. And yes, this is the best so far. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Yes, it is, meg. One of my all time favorites. Some days I'd even say it was my #1 film of all time. Bogart is so wonderful in this. 1 Replies | Report Abuse I especially liked the part where Hugh Jackman was trying to hack into the computer, and he made an alien ship crash, so Will Smith goes to it and it opens and he punches the alien and says "welcome to earth". Then Tommy Lee Jones comes in and recruits Will Smith to this strange government corporation to fight aliens, and they go out into the ocean to fight this killer shark, and Roy Scheider is like "I think we need a bigger boat". Didn't you like that part, Jen? 1 Replies | Report Abuse Absolutely. You see how you always manage to find the best of every movie? You the man. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Hey Megladon, I enjoy this movie as well. It actually got me interested in Amadeus. Umm, the things movies can do for you. LOL! I didn't know that they came out with a director's cut of it though. When that movie came out, I even had a crush on Tom Hulce. LOL! Think that scary one. LOL! I definitly agree that this is a masterpiece. Fritz08 0 Replies | Report Abuse I actually just saw this one a few weeks ago. Everything about it is near perfection. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Only thing wrong with it...I didn't want it to end. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

This is in my top 20 of all time. Repeated viewing have in no way diminished my enjoyment of it, which is a good gauge of a movie's greatness. For me the highlights are Shaw's Indianapolis dialogue and all of Spielberg's camerawork. So many great shots. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Meg, I LOVE Jaws, too. I also loved the chemistry between Brody and his wife. Their whole family seemed very real to me. Reading about the real life relationship between Shaw and Dreyfuss was just as scary. That man tortured dreyfuss at every turn. Must have made those scenes even more intense. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Wow...where can I read about this? 1 Replies | Report Abuse  Megladon, it was in a magazine article which came out in time for the 25th year celebration of the film. I'll dig through some old stacks of magazines to see if I still have it. It was an indepth look at the making of the film, and it chronicled all the problems they had while shooting it. They went through hell to get that picture out. 0 Replies | Report Abuse Glad you enjoyed it man. My alltime favorite film. 0 Replies | Report Abuse My all-time favorite movie too. Glad you have it another chance dude 0 Replies | Report Abuse Glad you liked it, meg, it's truly one of Spielberg's best. When that head pops out of the boat....creepy. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

Meg, I didn't love it as much as you did, but I enjoyed the HELL out of it. :D Bad pun, I know. I would have loved it more if Rasputin hadn't been such a boring villain. Nazi guy deserved better than to be the sidekick. He was freaking awesome, almost stole the film. Glad you had a great time with this film. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

The ending was great. The only reason why some people didn't like it was probably because they didn't fully understand it. Jude Law was really something in this film. I think this just might be Spielberg's most underrated film. 1 Replies | Report Abuse Yes, I agree - its definitely underrated. 0 Replies | Report Abuse |

I'd give a 9.5 to SUPERMAN 2. I love this movie, too. I'm not wild about the third one, but it's been ages since I've seen it so there's no way I would be able to judge it fairly. 0 Replies | Report Abuse I love Superman II, though it is in no way as wonderful as the original. I'll have a Superman 1 and 2 marathon one day. I'll probably follow it up with BATMAN BEGINS or something. :) 0 Replies | Report Abuse |
