Halloween. I can not understand how that can be anyone's favorite holiday. I just can't. Why do we have a holiday to scare people? It's stupid. Yesterday to celebrate Halloween (way ahead of time) some friends ordered 20 (yes, 20) pizzas and rented House of Wax. I had warned that I hated scary movies but they didn't care at all.
After eating my slice of ham pizza (rating: 9/10) I proceeded to be scared and grossed out for the next hour and a half. We had rented House of Wax to watch Paris Hilton die, as would any self-respecting human. One hour into the movie not only had she not died, but she had tried to act. I enjoyed her "acting" because it was hilarious how stupid she looked. The rest of the movie was less enjoyable. It sucked.
The movie was gory. And stupid. And made no sense. I knew what I was in for, but I think the level of stupidity and lack of common sense of these characters far surpassed the very high expectations that I had set for them. At every turn, if they had an opportunity to do something idiotic, they did. The thing that bothered me was that these were obviously kids that watched cheesy horror movies. Why would characters that are kids that watch cheesy horror movies not know what to do in a cheesy horror movie? It's stupid. Like Haloween.
