[CENTER]I shouldn't make promises on here anymore. Last entry, I promised to post another review the next day! But I've been kept busy with filming on that movie I was telling you all about before, entitled Bolden! In fact I'm doing that again tomorrow, but also I've been filming and finally completing the editing on my sequel to Ginger Can Kill. And guess what? It's up and ready to view on Youtube!!
So, without further explaining and rambling, I present to you "Ginger Can Still Kill". (please watch it..I will appreciate it a whole big bunch if you do and leave me a comment. [CENTER]I feel compelled to shine some light on my frequent disappearances. *waits for applause*
The computer I use is connected to dial up. Whenever I get started on an entry for RT (especially reviews) I get very frustrated with the amount of time that it ends up taking. And when you have 3 other people waiting around to use the computer? Just ugh!! Also, I have been involved with filming on a couple of movies this summer. I live near Wilmington which is a hot spot for the film industry. Two movies were on location there (one is complete) "Bolden!" is the title of the movie that is still currently in production. My whole family pretty much signed up to do background work and they chose all of us to be a part of it. The film is set in 1905 New Orleans and the story is actually a biography of a jazz musician named Buddy Bolden. This part is being portrayed by Anthony Mackie, recently seen in Half Nelson. 
*Him* Other cast members include Omar Gooding and a guy that played in 8 mile, whose name I can't think of right now. The wardrobe we were given was really neat. I was in whole lot of pieces. Corset, stockings, slip, skirt, under shirt, blouse, etc. After all was said and done, I thought I looked a bit like a school marm! :) It was cool. Everyone looked great. The scenes we shot were pretty fun. It was for a parade. Since then, I've been asked to come back and portray a 1905 prostitute. An offer I accepted, so we'll see how the filming goes with that on Monday!! I do have pictures to show you but they are currently not ready in my photobucket. So, I'll do a separate entry with the pics. ;) The other movie I was a part of (along with Bronson, my son, and nephew) is called "Nights in Rodanthe" starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane and James Franco among others. We only got to film one day and we were all supposed to be from Ecquador. Ive read the book which the film is based off of. It was written by Nicholas Sparks. ;) I definately wanted to be a part of this film. The scene we shot was supposed to be in Ecquador. The kids were used in better shots, and I am so excited about seeing the finished product. For the record, the actors present that day were Richard and James and they were both incredibly nice. Richard gave hugs to some of the extras around him, he came up the bus we sat in and asked if anyone needed water (it was very hot) each time he walked by or stood near me, he'd look over and shoot me a big smile. (yes, that made me happy) James Franco was recognized by most of the kids from Spiderman. James even pretended to shoot webs from his wrists. My little one and nephew were excited to see him. He came over to our bus and said hello to everyone. When he shook my nephew's hand, his little eyes grew so big! He couldn't wait to tell everyone that "Harry Osborne" gave him a hand shake. What's funny is, James Franco smiles as much and as big as he did in Spiderman! I laughed about that actually. He has a great smile though, and *ahem* he's VERY good looking in person. I think I may have stared too much. :D 
Both men were eager to answer questions and even pose for pictures (even though crew members were scolding those who pulled out their cameras) I didn't have my camera with me on set, since we were told not to bring them so I don't have pictures to share from that day :( Needless to say, it was a cool experience and seeing those two handsome men was a really awesome. Especially saying hi to Richard Gere, who I've always been a fan of. And again..James Franco has a great smile. ;)

[CENTER]Thinking of the films that I never reviewed but "still have to" makes me want to disable my journal. Okay, not really disable it, that was a joke! Don't throw rocks at me. But there are a lot that I can think of right now, and just to give you an idea...here's a list in random order:

[CENTER]Oh, this entry shall be all over the place. Whoa. I'm having a moment. And it's the kind that infests the brain. Don't judge me after reading this!! :D
So, I was sitting here when all of sudden I felt like I was on fire. There is so much crap (not crap but really great stuff) that I need to accomplish. I mean need. Need y'all. mmmm hmmm.... see how this sounds already? Dramatic. I usually don't like posting entries like this, because later I look back at them and get embarrassed, but there's too much consuming me right now. And I'm usually vague so I apologize if you just end up getting confused after you read this. I'm surrounded by familiarity. I don't like that all the time because technically, it's my comfort zone. I need to be challenged. But I've kind of figured out a way to do that, even if I am in my comfort zone. okay okay...deep breath. I've been told my whole life that I'm talented. No, no, I'm not bragging. That's not something I can do with a straight face. I'm just telling you the truth. But I've been having trouble the past few years with really believing I'm capable of the things I dream of. Whenever I can convince myself, it only lasts a day or two, and then the discouragment rears it's ugly head and I surrender. "Amanda, you need to wake the hell up" Yes, that was me talking to myself. Point is, I am getting anxious. It's a severe case of anxiousness. I have A LOT of things I am working on right now. I don't speak of them, because...well because what if it doesn't work. But I'm not stopping this time. Why would I? I have so many people waiting to see something beautiful to appear before their eyes. And I want to give it to them. Oh dear. -Amanda ;)[/CENTER] |

I have seen Pirates, Shrek the Third, and 28 Weeks Later (besides all the other DVD's I've popped in) but I can't review anything yet because I ONCE AGAIN, don't have time! But I will say that I enjoyed myself at the cinema with each of those films and I hope that if you saw them, then you at least enjoyed yourself as well. I feel bad...sorry I don't have time to say more.

I MUST explain. I have no internet access right now. I am in a library that is literally closing RIGHT NOW. Moved back to N.C. the computer at the house is broken. You didn't watch this? Shame, shame, shame. Th efight stunk anyways. I was rooting for Mayweather until the 8th, then I switched and started rooting for Oscar. The fight actually stunk; but Mayweather was FAR superior. The first undercard was the best fight of the night. 0 Replies | Report Abuse

Mayweather has been my second favorite fighter to watch for about a year now, behind Pacquia (sp). I looked forward to watching his hand speed dominate the fight. However, his approach to the fight, one punch at a time, was boring and methodical. Oscar was WAY too slow, but was never truly effected by any of Mayweathers weak punches (150 lbs is too heavy for Mayweather). If there were any chance for a good power punch in the entire fight, Oscar was going to deliver it. He got two good punches in the entire fight. You didn?t miss much. 0 Replies | Report Abuse
