Well,havent I been a busy little Epic recently...the answer of course..is no.
But I have seen a lot of movies.Thats right boys and girls...its time for the inaugural Epic quick reviews. (lets pretend there was a huge fanfare there, possibly the Theme from Star Wars)
Ok,here we go.
Movie 1 (These are not in any order other than that in which they come to mind) Dawn of the Dead - 2004 version:I wasnt initially expecting much from this film, which is good, because i didnt get much.Thats not to say I didnt enjoy it,because I did.Especially the very Blair Witch-esque (Is that even a word?!?) bits during the end credits. The special features were quite good,I didnt manage to see the making of featurette because I had to take it back to the video store. But I really liked the "Special news update" and "Andys video diary" featurettes. They just added something more to the disc,I like stuff like that.Overall,I'd say its worth a look, fun for everyone from the toddlers to Grandma.
Movie 2 - Lost Boys:How bloody good is this movie?!?!? Anyone who hasnt seen it had better do it soon,go and watch it,i'll wait here. I hadnt seen it in years and years and forgot just how cool iefer Sutherland could be (Dont give me any of this Jack Bauer Crap) David was a badass biker Vampire that kicked ass and took names.(Keep an eye out for my upcoming Top 25 Vampires list).I didnt really get a chance to watch the features (again, video store wanted it back) But the couple of featurettes i saw were cool.
Movie 3:White Chicks (My god this an eclectic List isnt it)Not the Wayans best effort, but certainly not their worst.A fun little romp involving two blackguys dressing up as a pair of white socialites (Hlton sisters anyone?)which was a lot better than I thought it was.Its a nice way to kill 90 minutes but not anything worth writing home about.Didnt look at the special Features.
And for the Fourth and final Movie in this little experiment, the only movie that has successfully scared the living excrement out of me in over 10 years The grudge (Sarah Micelle Gellar version, havent seen the original) Holy Crap in a hat. There is no real way to describe this movie other than to say I watched this at like 10 o clock at night and was that freaked out I had to watch half an hour of Shrek to balance myself out so i could at least go to bed.I recommend it to anyone who likes a:scary scary stuff or b:the artist formerly known as Buffy.
And thats the bottom line True believers.
