Speed Racer is a mess. It's good as a cartoon, but watching this film version by the Wachowski brothers made me want to leave the theater a handful of times. At one point I nearly fell asleep. There are a few really weird moments that made me laugh, but I don't think those scenes were supposed to be funny. The film is just a mess, I really did not enjoy it.

An absolutely wonderful film. Heartbreakingly real performances. Richard Jenkins gives a pitch-perfect performance. The best film I've seen so far this year.

Beautiful cinematography and wonderful supporting performances can't save this film. Norah Jones does some fine work in the main role in the early moments of this film. Around the 30 minute mark, Jones lets the other actors do all the work while she just sits back and makes blank stares.

The funniest movie I have seen so fat this year. It does not quite reach the same level of greatness as Knocked Up, or The 40 Year Old Vigin, but it comes pretty damn close.

A very strong cast, the plot of Smart People is the problem. It sort of just wanders around and around.

I know I am late to see this, but I just want to express my love for this film. It is as powerful as any film that I have seen in a long time.

I knew exactly what I was getting into when I bought a ticket for Funny Games. I had seen the original film, and was not sure how I felt about it. This remake is no different. Almost exactly shot-for-shot the same film, Funny Games is supposed to be an attack on film violence. It is meant to be a punishment for us sadists who love to watch blood splatter across the screen. I do not really buy it. It seems that Haneke is just as guilty as he says we all are. Pointless, and ugly.

Michel Gondry's latest is a charming little film with visuals that are a joy to behold. I do not think the film is close to being as good as Eternal Sunshine or The Science of Sleep, but it's touching and very funny.

A incredibly surprising and unique film. Hilarious, and yet very haunting at the same time. Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson are outstanding. My favorite film so far this year.
