I disliked how utterly meaningless this movie was. The plot was very, very shifty. Jamie Foxx made matters worse, with a disgustingly horrible performance in my opinion. I admired Foxx in 'Ray', and I wish he would channel his talent towards those sort of roles.
Ah. Jake Gyllenhaal. Not much better tban Foxx in this film. Didn't really play a good character, and aided the movie in their attempt to bore the living crap out of movie-goers. Jarhead had it's times but bored me most of the time. Half the rather small crowd in the cinema theatre were yawning for a good portion of this failure. |

Well, this third sequel comes out this Friday. I'm twenty years old, and I'm excited. Finally, a Brit actually directed a Potter movie. I believe Newell will give this movie a better sense of what it is actually like in Britain. Something that the two previous directors could not deliver on.
Also, I was intently watching 'The Making Of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' on HBO just today, and was informed by Radcliffe, Grint, Watson, AND Newell himself that this would be a much darker film than the other three. They all say this movie will show that it can be very evil, while still showing some happy, romantic moments. Anyway, I'm looking for this to be the best installment of Harry Potter. The seventh film is the only one that still has a chance to compare, as that book has not yet been completed. While the fifth and sixth book are still pretty damn good, the fourth book has been the best yet. My Pre-Movie Tomato Meter Rating sits at 100 percent :fresh: fresh. I'm sure once I see the movie it won't go down at all. |

I went and saw the sequel to surprisingly successful Saw Friday night around 8:00.
First of all, I admired the beginning for the most part. Even if you did not see the first one(although I did), you could almost completely understand what the series was about. And some people go with their friends or family to see the second film, and they haven't seen it before. They get it almost as much as their family/friends. The end was my favorite part. VERY creative. And I loved the way it sets you up for the next movie REALLY well. The movie overall was not extraordinary, but relatively enjoyable. How does it rank on Danny's TomatoMeter? 80% :fresh: FRESH |
