Yes! Another huge GM fan!! I kinda see where you're coming from with NoC, but it still just does so much right.
I also love Letters from Iwo Jima and need to see Flags!

She is amazing. Have you seen any other GM movies besides this and La Strada, because I must see some more!
Letters from Iwo Jima was surprisingly great...I loved it. Apparently Flags isin't as good but I'm still excited to watch it.

I think the only other one I've seen is Juliet of the Spirits which was NOTTT as good as either LS or NoC unfortunately. I think it was BARELY fresh to me. As far as Fellini goes, 8 1/2 is creative but feels a bit longwinded - still worth a look.

Actually I remember your review of Juliet of the Spirits...it doesn't sound all that great, I'll probably just skip it.
I'm pretty excited to watch 8 1/2, I love surreal stuff.

Letters From Iwo Jima is brilliant. I was moved emotionally like never before.

I feel exactly the same way about it...it's easily one of the most emotional films I've seen.

I haven't seen "Leters", but I have seen "Flags" and thats one of the most tedious and hollow war films I've ever seen... but, I've heard that "Letters" is amazing despite its terrible American counterpart. So, yeah... I need to see that movie! Fantastic Reviews!

Yeah, I've definitely heard mixed things about Flags. You still HAVE to see Letters though, it's an incredible film and I think you would really like it.

Letters is definately better than Flags, plus, if you watch closely you can see the scenes that Clint Eastwood used from Flags into Letters, they're quite obvious.
