Scary Movie 4: There are no words to describe my disappointment. Numbers 1, 2, & 3 were all stupid of course but they still made me laugh out loud. This one...a few minor laughs, nothing huge. I think the funniest thing in the whole movie was Charlie Sheen?s boner. That was about it, even the opening scene with Dr.Phil and Shaquil was boring. I recommend people wait for the DVD so they can fast forward through the boring junk.
The Wild: It was Madagascar meets The Lion King. It was everything we've all seen before and was not worth seeing once yet alone twice. Kifer Sutherland's voice was more annoying as the dad than it was...anything else. I think they were going for fun, sympathetic, and wise father but none of it showed with Kiefers mono-tone voice. Even James Belushi's voice didn't have any real character. But I don't think it helped that I didn't like the squirrel. Let this be a lesson learned, squirrels shouldn?t be used in a children?s movie unless its a prehistoric squirrel.
Inside Man: I saw this movie a while ago. It?s sheer Brilliance! I kept wondering what or who was the "inside man." A movie that keeps me guessing is a rare thing to find. Plus the comic relief with Denzel Washington and his partner was priceless. "He?s got us right where he wants us, behind us with our pants down" - Denzel Washington. Clive?s particular role was quite interesting. He sheds new light on the character with a million dollar plan to rob a bank. Not an easy task. Defiantly see this one in theaters, its one of the best action thrillers currently released.
The Fast and the Furious 3 Tokoyo Drift: I got to see this on Wednesday as a promotional preview or whatever they call it. They said all of the special effects hadn't even been completed which was true but only for a few scenes. However it didn't help that the theater was sooo jamed that my group of six had to sit in the second to the front row. Talk about your neck cramp. The moive is not like any of the first two and only has one returning character who dosen't even play the same guy. Weird. Well this movie is all about a new style of driving called "drifting;" its no longer just about who can go the fastest. Some of the sequences were pretty awesome. But the characters and story needed work, you'll know what I mean if you see it. Even though the acting was a bit shotty and the plot kida lame I'd still reccomend it to people just for the racing bits which was pretty rad. But its another moive who uses 30 year olds to play teenagers. *sigh*
