I hated this movie. I thought it was for the Springer/Povich crowd. Just didn't like it at all... A good cast wasted on a Lifetime channel movie.

I totally disagree with you. The film resembles The Accused with Jodie Foster and is even in some points more intense and moving. Besides, the pic has one of the best acting performances in recent years.

I'd rather have a movie that's entertaining and nothing else more than a movie that's well acted and nothing else. It's a movie that is just over drama and to attack men. That's all it's about. It play's out just like a Maury Povich show. I just thought it went overboard to try and manufacture the drama, but I didn't find any of the characters the slightest bit interesting. I have no problem with the movie if they show it where it belongs... On the lifetime channel. But as a feature fil

No. This film does not attack men. This is just reality, in my opinion. Sad but true. In fact, this flick was probably based on true story. It's a bit too intense/colorized but that are just film rights. In my opinion, characters are ineresting and what is the most important well-developed. And once again no, this pic is no match for any TV flick I've seen in my life. It's absolutely worthy of cinema screening. I regard this film as almost ideal drama, but unoriginal (like I stated above

I've always been curious about this film. But I never got myself around of watching it. I loved Charlize Theron's character in Monster.

I haven't seen Monster yet. This is a reminiscent of that movie starring Jodie Foster. Accused is the title if I remember well. Besides, it's a pretty good dramatic film.

You were close. It's called The Accused. It was one of Jodie's most dramatic performance. The Accused is on one of my top 100 list. :)

I really wanted to like this film... And even though it's predictable in alot of ways, when you find out how it all went down it still felt like a sucker punch because it was all so unbelievable. Just crazy movie with some wasted potential.

Yep. The main idea was so ridiculous that it was enough to spoil completely the whole movie. Also I didn't like scenes when all people on the plane were pissed off on Jodie. It was such a cheap trick. Hmm. Wasted potential? I don't think so. This film just has a poor script and it's really nothing that actors or director could do with it. Oh. Maybe wasted potential of Jodie Foster. Finally she starred in a trashy movie. She has to choose projects more carefully 'cause she's a great actress.

I liked the idea of a missing child on a plane and all... It's just that it was poorly done and there's so many shameless plot holes. I like Jodie as an actress and I liked some of the idea's, but there's just so many crazy things. Under some better direction, I think with the main idea and the actors involved, it could have been a decent film.

Greg Fisher on 8/23/06 at 12:44 AM

I think the main problem is the fact that nobody on a plane had seen this child and the girl showed up at the end. Director tried to cheat viewers that the child hadn't really existed throughout the movie. If it had occured to be a truth, the film would've had some sense. The ending is just so silly. So, the main idea stinks. Thus, the blame lies mainly with screenwriter. But, director doesn't really help using cheap tricks which irritated me and plot holes occur as well.

What gets me is that the "bad guys" have to count on so much to happen for this to work. 1.They have to count on that nobody really noticed the little girl. 2.Jodie has to fall asleep in order for them to get the kid. 3.Nobody can notice that he takes the little girl. That's just a few of the things. Ok, maybe it's common sense that she'd fall asleep on a long plane ride at some point. But, I can't believe nobody would notice the guy taking the little girl or infact notice here at

Yes! I agree this was the best horror film of last year, if not the last decade. When it comes to pure horror, I would have to choose this. I preferred the original ending over the alternate one, if you ask me. I love how it ended differently than other horror movies out there.

I even don't know the alternate ending. The original one was excellent in my book. Yeah. This film was scary, tense amd claustrophobic as hell. Neil Marshall proves he's a great director.

The acting is good, the movie is well shot, the movie refrains abit from B movie cheese. The movie shows family values which is missing in today's world that about nothing but sex. Not that I'm a church going type. But it seems as if people always have problems with movies that actually try and stand for something. People complain that it play's with your emotions. I think the problem is that these days people are just too emotionally gone.

Yeah, I agree that the acting was good and the movie well shot but I expected that, otherwise I wouln't have given 5/10. However, to my mind cm plays with emotions in a rather cheap, nasty way. Besides, I think that a comparison between Bradock and the US was too pushy. I don't like movies in which everything is so obvious. What's more, cm was very predictable and characters were one-dimensional. But I agree with that the film glorifies family values. That's the point.

Most movies are predictable. It's been that way for a really long time. King Kong wasn't predictable? The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly isn't predictable? Alot of great movies are predictable. It's got to a point to were I almost expect it. "But I agree with that the film glorifies family values. That's the point." What's wrong with that? If people still had some this country wouldn't be in as bad of shape as it's currently in. Dad's wouldn't be molesting children... Kids wouldn't have

I have nothing against family values. But it's not the main thread of this movie. As far as predictibility goes, I wish cinderella man had been less stereotypical and hadn't used so many cliches from other similar productions. Predictability in King Kong didn't disturb me because it was a remake. But I hadn't predicted bugs attack. Besides, if the film is good, I don't care about whether it is predictable or not. Nice thoughts. Have a good day too ;)
