Mission Impossible 3 provides unpretentious entertainment and is shot with style. Great Vatican sequences and spectacular bridge scene are undoubted highlights. Apparently creators made attempts to depart from traditional patterns of an action flick. By way of illustration, ostentatiously intimate duel of the main characters at the end and a final fight without Hunt's participation are anything but typical. What's more, there are many modern gadgets (that constitute a trademark of a series) and even pace is maintained throughout the film. Another obvious advantage is acting. All supporting actors including Philip S. Hoffman, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Simon Pegg were great. What does not make any impression on me was a forced love thread. I must also admit that the story is unbelievable and some ridiculous plot-holes occur. Nevertheless, J.J. Abrams directed the most exciting and most likely the best movie from a series.
