Nice review, I cant believe you managed to get so much out of such a bad movie. I love the gambling genre movies, especially ones based on actual events; but this was just horrible. 1 Replies | Report Abuse
Haha, I probably got a lot out of it because it's the type of movie that had the potential to be intense and nerve-wracking. We should've been on the edge of our seats hoping these people wouldn't lose or get caught or whatever. Instead, we just don't care. 1 Replies | Report Abuse
Yeah, we dont care at all; sadly enough. Also I hate that Hollywood changes everything around and adds stuff that didnt even happen; like originally the team was 90% asians. But I guess that would have as much appeal as a blockbuster. I would have rather seen them stay more true to how it really was. 2 Replies | Report Abuse
Yep. Instead they just had the two "token" Asians. This why I give loads of praise to movies that simply forget about stereotypes and about what's gonna be "appealing" to the majority of the audience.
Totally! That's why the 70s is my favorite decade in film. So many movies that just throw caution to the wind and make what they want. Today is so corporate. |
