UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE! An absolute gem! A masterpiece! Let me shower this baby some more because it DESERVES IT! Right off the bat, I was like "OK, this might be good." Then it totally delivered. I sound like a cliched local newspaper journalist, but seriously, you have to trust me on this one. I am so excited that I got to see this and, better yet, love it more than anything this year.

Couple complaints though . . .

Danny Boyle: I love your direction in this movie, but can you maybe tone it down? I didn't come to your move to get motion sickness. If you want to be Paul Greengrass, then get in line.

Academy: What the heck is wrong with you? Dev Patel deserved an Oscar nom like a camel doesn't need water. (METAPHOR!)

Frieda Pinto: Can you please be in this movie more? Your like there for twenty-five seconds, if that.

Oh, yes, and Inkheart sucked. MAJORLY. Please, please, please, do not see this movie. This book is the best thing written in the universe, no lie, and the movie is a piece of crap. Here's my problem with film adaptations, especially children's books: they try and shove EVERY LITTLE DETAIL that DOESN'T EVEN MATTER into the movie, and they leave out the actually important plotlines. Then, they dumb it all down to make it viable for the masses. In short, it's a McDonald's version of the original story that makes me incredibly sick. So stop it. I'm talking to the makers of Narnia, Inkheart, Alex Rider. Just stop it. Quit being idiots.

I really don't have a desire to see Slumdog. I don't know why... I also have a limited desire to see Inkheart - the little desire I do have is just because I love Brendan Frasier in dad roles.
