Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2006): It's offensively funny in places but it can't sustain itself for a feature length running time and it's not nearly as clever or as fun as it should be. - William A

I find it offensive that William Arnold made the assumption that because Borat doesn't like Jews he must be Islamic. The main religious groups in Kazakhstan are Sunni Islam, Russian Orthodoxy, and Roman Catholicism (plus a small but prominent Jewish population). Anyone of these major groups could be anti-Semitic. HECK! You don't even have to be part of any religion to be anti-Semitic. It's the fun about being ethnic, racist, prejudice, etc. anyone can do it! Borat doesn't even to know who Jesus is. Jews, Muslims, and Christians know who Jesus is they just have a different view on him. Gah!

P.S. I live in Seattle, I was at a Press Screening. He must have been the only person in the theater not laughing so hard it hurt.
