So I was expecting a package today. A package worth over $50. I wake up at 12 and go downstairs to look outside. There's nothing here yet, so I figure it will come later today. I go online to check the status and hm, it says it has been delivered. I call my dad to see if he happened to pick it up this morning. He says no. I see it was delivered at 10:30 so I figure they must have made a mistake. I call them up and they say it should have been delivered. I start to get angry because I really wanted the package today. They tell me they will send a message to the driver to call me. He hasn't yet called. No package has ever been stolen from my house, and that includes things such as guitars, subwoofers, amps, very expensive equipment. Yet this small box somehow is the first thing to get stolen. Blasphemy! That driver has stolen my package and is hiding from the truth! F'ing FedEx doesn't even ring your doorbell; you know why? So their drivers can act like they came to your house but keep your package instead! There is a conspiracy with this dirty company and I will never trust them again.
So I bought an old album by the Microphones. It's very nice; spacial, atmospheric, and captivating. I wish I could lose myself in it and stay there for at least a week.
Bloc Party's new album is ok. Lyrically they've grown and they are going for a deeper and more emotional feel. Sometimes it works and sometimes I just don't care. I don't care about cocaine really. But when they talk about something with substantial emotive effect and the music glistens and ascends into something special, they succeed. But that's sometimes.
Arcade Fire. Quite speechless about it. There are a few songs that reach a lyrical content and style that I've been longing for. The storytelling is wrapped in darkness and uncertainty. And it absolutely mirrors my feelings on life. This is a special album and one of the best I've heard.
Man did I love Little Miss Sunshine. It's the type of movie that can make you believe in love again. And I'm not talking about just companionship; I'm talking about loving life. Simply awesome.
The Departed was pretty damn good but best picture? Ehh, Pan's Labyrinth deserved that and didn't even win best foreign film. Fuck the oscars.
I'm so bored. I should write a song or something.
