Sadly, one of Scott's better movies of the last ten years, and it only shows how lazy he's gotten. Tries so hard to distance itself from the whole Alien mythos that it ends up feeling like intellectual copyright infringement as a result. Full of plot holes, inconsistencies, and logic gaps, with an ending that should have been left in the editing room. Overall, Prometheus just doesn't make much sense as a movie or as a franchise continuation. The script is nothing more than bad fan fiction.
