And so begins the Tim Burton marathon leading up to next Friday's release of Alice in Wonderland. It's been a while since I've seen a lot of his films - having grown up with just about all of them - but I was re-inspired by visiting his exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art.

NICE TOP 3!!!! WOOOHOOO for Gael making it (correcto!) I still don't understand Viggo... LOTR?! Really? And he's not THAT good in the other three. I don't think Jude deserves to be on there, but I think Brad Pitt does. Assassination of Jesse James? Inglourious Basterds? Babel? Burn After Reading? Even Curious Case. I haven't seen Snatch, but even Quentin loves his performance in that. Even the Ocean's stuff (if you're going to give it to Clooney...). Sorry, but all of these performances are better and more iconic than anything Viggo turned out this decade.

In my opinion, there is no way Colin Farrell belongs on this list. Several of the movies list area hardly tolerable and his acting is not that good in any of them. Almost all of your picks are white males. What about Jamie Foxx or Denzel Washington. They both had several good movies to come out in the last 10 years.

I don't think that Kill Bill had lots of "different costumes needed." No more than any movie. And "don't be upset that I don't have Perfume nominated for everything"??? What does that have to do with my comment...

HAHA! There! You said it indeed! And now that you've said it, why do you say it? Have you been thinking about it or something? Has it's INSANE profundity, complexity and central character (ahem, and performance) gotten under your skin and driven you to your passionate declaration? And in that vein, I love Solaris. I've been thinking about it a ton. I need to find it a spot on my list.

There are a couple (mostly one) glaring omissions on here. Good job compiling things, I just strongly disagree -- not about what you have here, but about what you omit.

Nice lists... I personally would like to have seen your nominations narrowed down to five or six, as I think ten is too inclusive and waters it down a lot. Surprised by some of your picks (like in the song category). Good awards. Bright Star will come out on top in all categories, I presume! Or else I will shove this %@#$!^& scone down your throat!!!! :)

Also -- how is Public Enemies not nominated for Sound!?!?!? And I'm glad you picked A Single Man for Best Score too. Just admit it, that film is a 10. It deserves the Best Picture nomination slot instead of Up in the Air (that is true...).

Modern Family: En Garde (ABC - 9pm) I've watched every episode of this new series so far, and I'd consider this my least favorite episode - solely on the fact that it felt about 10 minutes long. I'm not sure if there were longer commercial breaks or not, but less seemed to happen. I didn't care so much for the figure skating stuff, but the fencing stuff with Manny was pricemess. Rating: B

Top Chef Reunion Dinner (Bravo - 10pm) Since Glee came on the air, I haven't been watching Top Chef. They're not on at the same time, but to watch it all would be too much TV. This week, however, the World Series is on FOX (no Glee), and Bravo took a break to have a Top Chef Reunion Dinner. Was it worth watching? Not exactly. But if you like Top Chef, it's 40 minutes back with some of the best. But the worst part was that there were no judges. Will this reunion show get me to watch the rest of the current season? We'll see. Rating: C

Sunday: I watched HBO for new episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Bored to Death. While Curb didn't offer one of the best episodes of the season, it was clearly better than last week's. Rating: B Perhaps Bored to Death finally figured out exactly what it is going to be. Or perhaps not. Either way, I don't think I could pass up a show starring Jason Schwartzman. Rating: B

Tuesday: I checked out the pilot for ABC's V. I will give it a few weeks to see if it's worth continuing or not, but as far as pilots go, it completely sucked. Granted the second half was better than the first, but two days later, I can barely remember how it ended. Rating: C-

Currently watching: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Bored to Death, V, Glee, Modern Family, Community, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Flash Forward
