It’s a wonderful experience for a potter fan, Hogwarts has never looked so nice, some of the best visuals on the Wii yet. The voice work was very good, and the school is really well done. (When i watched the movie, i couldn't help but notice how correct the game really was in the detail dept.) But aside from the massive layout of the school, the game play kind of sucks. In my experience, all you do in this game is explore and clean up random things. Don’t bother trying to get all of the discovery points; there really isn't much you can really earn out of it. The Wii motion controls were not as super fun as i was hoping, for they are not as intuitive as they seem. it was a bitch trying to duel people when none of the spells seemed to cast correctly. Expelliarmus, for being so seemingly easy, was damn near impossible at first. But after a while and your mind and body adjust to the controls and it makes things run a lot smoother.

As far as the story goes, the game fills in a lot of crucial blanks that the movie skims over. However, if i were not a potter fan, and had never watched any of the movies, this game would make absolutely no sense what so ever. They skip so quickly through the story line, in such a choppy way, that i really can't imagine anyone making any sense of it.

However, on a whole, i enjoyed this game for what it was. it held me over until the movie came out, which held me over until book 7 came out. You gotta understand that knowing that they would make a potter game for it was one of the reasons i wanted a Wii when they first came out. This game is a worthy add on experience for any fan of the potter franchise. But if Harry is not your bag, you should pass on this one.
