Memento could not have been scripted with more skill nor have been blessed with a better cast. It's a brilliant film. And I mean no disrespect to the able actors who were up for Academy Awards in 2001, but why wasn't Guy Pearce nominated for Best Actor? Where were all of Memento's nominations? Best Movie of the Year? Best Supporting Actor (Joe Pantoliano?) Best Actress (Carrie-Anne Moss?) Memento didn't even win Best Film Editing or Best Original Screenplay, and it was actually up for those awards! Fortunately, I can alleviate this oversight by spreading the word...this movie is a must-see for any film buff. The script reads like a classic film-noir whodunit. This strange mixture of mystery and chaos are a result of the protagonist's unique shortcomings. Other movies may have won all the statues, but this film will be remembered long after some of those other titles are only a fading memory.

Oh, yes. This is a hidden joy. I love this movie. Great script. I wish I could write a script like Memento.

Couldn't have said it better. This is still one of my favorites. I remember watching it the first time and being left speechless at the end, then I watched it again. It really is an under the radar gem. Great review. :)

This flick still blows me away. I haven't watched it in awhile! Perhaps I'll throw it in the DVD player tonight!

Mine too! It really is one of the best movies of the 2000's, if not THE best film of the 2000's. Nolan rocks.

I was working at the Sundance Film Festival when this film premiered there. I was blown away. I got to meet Guy Pearce and Christopher Nolan. I knew he would become an important director...I just didn't know how important.
