I went into this movie hoping to see a creature that had the potential to be the so called "American Godzilla", I did. But that was all. POV movie making is ok, but there was way to much shaking around, it went beyond setting the stage. Eventually it should stabalize so the story can unfold, with slight reminders of the POV status.
This is also mostly a love story with monster in the background, okay, fine, IF you plan on making another film, and you pull this camcorder BS. It will flop... I sat on opening weekend and watched people LEAVING THE THEATER!
Good monster, Good-okay story, POV filming overdone to the point you HAD to offer lined bags for motion sickess at the theater!
You got me once, you won't get me again, I'm not sure if it was an "artistic attempt with the hand held POV, or if it was pennypinching hoping to bank on the hype bringing people in and getting a huge margin.
Again, you have the ground work for a series, and a creature, though poorly done CGI from what little of it and the parasites I could see, are designed well and could carry it.
POV for enhancing PART of a movie, NOT the WHOLE movie to hide flaws.
