I never viewed the TV show either - just remember all the ads for it - all very 80's glossy and "new wave" even though new wave was already dead by then (typical of TV to pick up on a trend well after its expiration date). 0 Replies | Report Abuse

5% ? from the RT community or from the pro's? Either way, there have been head scatcher film ratings for me as well from time to time. There is no telling sometimes what the pro's will rate a film, but RT's 10-20-30 per cent system for us has always been wierd to me. Who can differentiate by 10% a film? much less 5%! A visual spectacle quite unlike any other, and the source was a graphic novel, but perhaps it was serialized... I don't know. This is a fever dream, and the bad history I think can be overlooked since this is history on acid. So of course it's been parodied, but I think it already has a place in film history. Gorgeous, bloody, outrageous, and fascinating... so of course I like it. And I like your review too - very well done. :) 1 Replies | Report Abuse

Very inspiring review, and it is interesting to know that you are an archeologist, I myself wanted to be an archeologist (but turned out to be an engineer) due to frequently visiting one of most ancient civilizations of the world in my hometown Larkano called 'Indus Valley Civilization' said to be 5000 years old. it does sound intruiging - though I was wondering about the title - is there such a thing as a Neuvo Orgy (as compared to an old fashioned one)? I can see how there might be hidden feelings behind such a concept... but having lived through the late stages of "free love" can tell you it's all in the eye of the beholder.
