I felt that the jokes in the beginning (first 20 minutes) worked well and the dinner scene in the end was a great payoff. But in between that is filled with jokes that either fall flat or are so excruciating that they are almost torture to watch. And even with the great beginning and end, the middle almost ruins the whole film. Not to mention that was hardly a likeable character in the whole film. For example, Paul Rudd's character (though I do find the actor charming) is a total doormat. There is no way that any "real" person would put up this crap that Steve Carell's character is pulling. What's worse is that you can't bring yourself to like Carell because his character is so stupid that he is an a-hole, and he never accepts responsibilty for his actions. The unrealistic situations and characters in the movie, pull me out of it time and again. But again, the beginning and ending dinner scene were great, so I didn't totally hate it.

This movie absolutely "sucks". Haha get it? I used part of the title to say how much I didn't like this movie! I'm funny right? Right?! Yeah, this movie tries so hard to be funny with all of it's tacky, corny, juvenile and ultimately unfunny jokes and references that it forgets the most important element in a well-executed comedy. That is element is wit. The movie lacks any sort of satirical "bite". Haha! I made another funny! Aren't I clever? AREN'T I?!?!

Finally a good marvel movie! After a line of duds, Iron Man is a redeeming quality in the marvel comics franchise. Keep 'em coming Stan!
