Jade Warrior plays on many a mans fantasy of finding and falling in love with a beautiful Asian woman(Jingchu Zhang looks AMAZING in this film) who happens to be a Kung Fu master. That concept was diluted by bringing in a parallel story, from the present time period, that was hard to connect with. The fight scenes looked excellent considering this movie was supposedly made with only 3.5 million. But they were not enough to save Jade Warrior from it's bland characters.

I love ninjas.
I love action.
I do not love this movie.
I watched Ninja Assassin expecting a mystical, adrenaline pumping experience that the movies name invokes. You may be inclined to assume that my expectations were to high, as if I was expecting this film to be as thrilling as sex with my wife. But I assure you my expectations were not to high.
The special effects were more like the special olympics. In this ninja reality a simple paper cut produces a blood letting like a bursting water balloon. The weapons shine like they were ripped out of a 90s video game. Weapons fire sounds as if it was recorded in a open field using 22 caliber hand guns. And uhh... I am rambling. This movie sucked.

This movie was clearly aimed at little girls. The dialog was poor as was the acting. I don't recall ever seeing a movie with so many people with constipated expressions.

Up was a funny and entertaining cartoon that most kids will enjoy. What blew my mind was the unspoken story within this story that was something of a "coming of age" tale for senior citizens.

I have never seen a more entertaining cartoon. Ever. Now I have to take my kids to see it!

The Men Who Stare at Goast is about the adventures of an aging member of an elite unit of military hippies.
Seriously.
This was a concept that could have been and should have been so much more funny and/or thought provoking and/or action packed and/or dramatic.

Wow. The 2012 script was awful. So painfully awful that it was funny.
The special effects were excellent but over the top. They were so overblown, in fact, that they too, were funny.
Even though the ending was downright pathetic, I still enjoyed watching 2012 for all of the wrong reasons.

Fight Club is an amazing and rare combination of action and plot.

If you are looking for a 3D live action remake of the Disney cartoon, then keep on moving. This movie will disappoint you. On the other hand if your looking for an amazing adventure that captures the mood of the original book and Tim Burton's dark artistic taste, then this is your movie!
