*waves* I enjoyed the film but I felt it was ultimately quite pointless..It didn't really tell me anything I didn't know but I thought Marie was potrayed quite sympathetically and I liked her even if she was foolish and selfish. Today's pop tart's aren't going to lose their heads though, I guess they are often attacked viciously (and IMO excessively) in the media much like Marie was and people who don't have as much hate them for their excesses.

thanks for confirming my thoughts about this.. I like historical movie but this seems to cover well worn ground about Marie and is sort of fluff

I have read many online bios of her life, but I don't think I would dare plunge through an actual biography. Cripes, I am truly back in my lazy pants when it comes to reading. I give up and get distracted by the slightest thing. I will see the movie, but I really expect to hate it. :D
