Seth Gordon doesn't have that big of a resume for directing with only the Critically Acclaimed Documentary 'The King of Kong' and the 2008 comedy 'Four Christmases'. So with an all star cast and not much prior experience, I was a bit worrisome at first when he was selected to direct 'Horrible Bosses'. However I was quickly proved wrong because I was laughing less than 5 minutes into the film. Three friends played by Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day have probably the most horrible and douchebag bosses in existence who are played by Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey. So when they decide that maybe if their bosses weren't around anymore, they hire their 'murder consultant' (Jamie Foxx) to help them kill each other's bosses. See what I meant by all star cast? The laughs come steadily throughout the film in this dark comedy and the plot isn't bad either for a summer comedy. The cast however is what really carries the film through. Charlie Day, Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx steal just about any scene they are involved in. With Charlie's hyper humor, Colin's sense of "I can't believe that is him doing that!" and Jamie Foxx's pseudo-tough guy character, 'Horrible Bosses' is one of the best comedies this summer!
